Statistics[edit]

The report of 1000-2000 in http://www.justice.gouv.fr/art_pix/1_stat_livret_final_HD.pdf aren't the number of rapes, it's the number of court convictions. Are there official statistics of the self-reported number of rapes? Like a crime victim survey where respondents may state whether they have been attacked? The difference is that not all rapes are reported due to for instance family honor. AadaamS (talk) 06:06, 7 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

"As elsewhere, this crime is severely under-reported."

Excuse me, but what kind of unproven bullshit is that? There are actually a lot of FAKE rape accusations going on, leading to belief that this crime is severely over-reported, not the other way. And if one has any proof of ridiculous contrary statement, he should at least provide it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 178.235.3.93 (talk) 00:01, 8 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Statistics[edit]

The text says "According to a 2012 report, about 75,000 rapes take place each year. In 2012, there were 1,293 reported rapes in a population of 66 million, and 1,188 rapes in 2013 in a population of 66 million." Is this saying that in 2012 there were 75,000 rapes but only 1,293 were reported? Only 2% of rapes are reported? That calls out for an explanation. Jpipersson (talk) 17:16, 13 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
