SurrealDB moved to draftspace[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to SurrealDB. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and you may have a possible Conflict of Interest. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Ratnahastin (talk) 15:21, 19 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hey @Ratnahastin.
I will look for more secondary sources, however will make it clear I have no COI except for being a user of the database.
I believe the subject has pretty strong notability, as it has received VC funding, and has been posted on reliable sources such as Tech Crunch.
Once I add some more sources I will move it back to mainspace. Mr vili (talk) 20:16, 19 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have found sources noting SurrealDB as the fastest growing open sourced database, which I have included in the article Mr vili (talk) 20:47, 19 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summary when removing WikiProject banner[edit]

Hi, I reverted your recent edit to Draft talk:Tristan Tate where your edit summary said you were "Adding WikiProject tags using AfC-submit-wizard", while your actual edit removed the WikiProject Crime banner. WP:PROJSCOPE advises that WikiProjects determine which articles are within the scope of their projects, and you should discuss removal with the project, not be bold and remove a banner without discussion or explanation. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 22:21, 21 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry my apologies, I must've accidentally removed it - not sure how that happened - was not my intention Mr Vili talk 22:25, 21 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have seen this happen before, with the same message from other users. So I wonder if there is a bug with whatever browser tools you are using to edit Wikipedia. You might want to preview your edits and check for changes before committing to an edit permanently. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 01:32, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Not sure, maybe it's something broken with the AfC Submit Wizard? I never recalled actually editing the Draft talk page, only the draft page.. Mr Vili talk 01:36, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for January 22[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Mistral AI, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Claude. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 05:48, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

IP Block[edit]

Request reason:

Caught by an open proxy block but this host or IP is not an open proxy. Mr Vili talk 11:13, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Procedural decline only. You forgot to tell us your IP address so we can't investigate your claim. You can find this using WhatIsMyIP. If you don't wish to provide this publicly, you may use WP:UTRS to provide the IP address privately. Yamla (talk) 11:25, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Yamla, hey just noting that I did in fact include the IP address Mr Vili talk 11:26, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Are you sure? I can't see it. Your request reads, "Caught by an open proxy block but this host or IP is not an open proxy." There's no IP address that I can see there. --Yamla (talk) 11:39, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Oh. You did but you subsequently removed it. In any case, the IP address you provided is a confirmed p2p proxy. See Template:Blocked p2p proxy for more details. --Yamla (talk) 11:40, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry didn't notice that. Can you explain what the p2p proxy is? I'm literally just connected to my home network so not sure how that might be @Yamla Mr Vili talk 11:58, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Also I checked the IP contribution logs but I found no edit history from it? Mr Vili talk 12:02, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
See Template:Blocked p2p proxy. Note often this is a person's ISP selling proxy services, rather than the person themselves. A lot of ISPs are... politely, somewhat shady. --Yamla (talk) 12:22, 29 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to the drive![edit]

Welcome, welcome, welcome Mr vili! I'm glad that you are joining the drive! Please, have a cup of WikiTea, and go cite some articles.

Yamla I don't understand, what am I supposed to do here? Mr Vili talk 22:34, 2 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If you are unable to use another IP address, WP:IPBE may be an option for you. This has already been pointed out to you a couple of times, but maybe you didn't see it. --Yamla (talk) 22:53, 2 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello @JBW. Can we remove the semi-protection on my talk page as I believe it is no longer necessary and may prevent legitimate editors from reaching out to me via my talk page Mr Vili talk 00:44, 13 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Robert McClenon (talk) 00:26, 22 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You had tried to move the blocking redirect from Tristan Tate to Andrew Tate into draft space to unblock acceptance of the article. You sort of moved it, but did not accomplish what you were trying to do. Your move left a redirect from the move. Moving a blocking redirect out of the way requires the WP:Page mover privilege, which allows one to suppress creation of a redirect (or admin status). I moved the redirect out of the way in order to accept the draft, and have tagged the extra redirect that you created for G6 housekeeping deletion.

Now someone may nominate the article for deletion. In the meantime, it is an article. Robert McClenon (talk) 00:35, 22 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, that was an accident unfortunately (my bad) Mr Vili talk 04:57, 22 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

February 2024[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. VQuakr (talk) 21:51, 22 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Undoing a single edit is not edit warring. Please discuss on the talk page Mr Vili talk 21:52, 22 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Edit warring is distinct from the 3RR. What you did was the former. VQuakr (talk) 21:56, 22 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon This is your only warning; if you violate Wikipedia's biographies of living persons policy by inserting unsourced or poorly sourced defamatory content into an article or any other Wikipedia page again, as you did at Tristan Tate, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Drmies (talk) 00:00, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Can you explain what was unsourced, or defamatory? Mr Vili talk 00:01, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Really? Do I have to explain that posting information about a living person's alleged children sourced to ridiculously unacceptable websites is a BLP violation? And that's besides the edit warring, which is being looked at on a noticeboard, a charge leveled at your partner Desmay but perhaps includes you. Drmies (talk) 00:05, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You're continuing to spam unreliable sources, to the point of disruption and including the exact same source that you were chastised for above. At some point it's going to become clear you're not capable of editing in this subject area. Is that the result you want? VQuakr (talk) 01:10, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
They're not unreliable my man, most are just general news websites. You do not solely decide what is reliable and what is not, if you wish we can discus the reliability of sources in the right place if you believe they are not reliable Mr Vili talk 01:25, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure I trust your judgement when it comes to this considering you claimed an article with the title "Tristan Tate's height, brother, daughter, net worth, Instagram, and career" was reliable when there are dozens upon dozens of garbage bin spam sites with those kinds of titles. If you think that's qualified as reliable I really don't know what to say PARAKANYAA (talk) 01:29, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
A sports website which seems generally reliable and writes about athletes is exactly the type of title I would expect from such. Mr Vili talk 01:30, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Then you clearly have no idea what is or what makes a source reliable for the purposes of Wikipedia. PARAKANYAA (talk) 01:31, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That is your opinion Mr Vili talk 01:31, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If you say so mate. We'll see where this conversation ends up I suppose. PARAKANYAA (talk) 01:32, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Andrew Tate[edit]

Hello Mr villi, I’m pleased to inform you that I’ve began reviewing the Andrew Tate article for a good article candidacy. Please address my comments on the page. Best, 750h+ (talk) 01:15, 10 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

AN3[edit]

I've revision-deleted the edits and blocked the IP range. AN3, or any administrator's noticeboard, isn't a good place for dealing with that kind of BLP violation, it's best to email an admin privately. If the issue pops up again, let me know. I've watchlisted the article. Acroterion (talk) 12:23, 18 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Mr Vili talk 12:51, 18 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
And I've semi-protected the article for three months, until primaries are over (whenever that actually is). There are only a couple of autoconfirmed accounts in play, and they were mostly reverting what they thought was an acceptable inclusion. I leave aside the gossip provision of BLP, an I haven't revdel'd everything, it's mostly to keep people from easily reverting. Acroterion (talk) 12:58, 18 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
