Need your attention against Chinese revisionism[edit]

I had read your requested move proposal on Talk:Annexation of Tibet by the People's Republic of China. You need to focus more on this topic including articles about the Yuan dynasty. Checkout these articles Tibet under Yuan rule, Manchuria under Yuan rule, and especially Mongolia under Yuan rule. That is ridiculous. How can it Mongolia under Mongol rule???????? Since the Yuan was a Mongol state. Why did they miss out China under Mongol (Yuan) rule?????? The article Korea under Yuan rule had been renamed to Goryeo under Mongol rule.

My proposal is that u should request a deletion of "Mongolia under Yuan rule" or merge it with "Yuan dynasty". As for 3 articles, you should create a requested move proposal to Tibet under Mongol rule, Manchuria under Mongol rule. Why? Because these countries were already conquered by the Mongol well BEFORE the proclamation of the Great Yuan. We should use a general term for the whole period. 2605:6000:1802:8BCC:95E:D421:755A:4085 (talk) 23:36, 18 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ali Ashfaq[edit]

Hello!

If you are interested and if you know where to look (databases), because I don't, perhaps you can continue the stats with clubs on Ali Ashfaq's infobox? His stats there are until 2016, and the ones in the clubs' table under "Career statistics" section are until 11 November 2018. I am asking because I am also curious to see how close he is to 500 goals, which would be a huge feat if reached, since he will become the first (recorded/supported by stats) Asian player to do so. Until 1 January 2021 (see IFFHS source here) he had 465 goals, a list which doesn't though include those with the Maldives U23, so +2 goals more (the total goes to 467), and +4 with the national team since then the total will be 471 without the goals in club level since 1 January 2021 until now.

If it helps, the list of players with 500 or more goals used to also have active players with 400 or more goals, which was later made only for 500 or more, and you can see there (hyperlink here) some (or all, don't know) of his numbers until Club Green Streets, i.e. until 2019 or 2020, which are missing from his WP clubs' table, definitely though those are before 2021, as, even though it says April 2021, based on IFFHS's source, there should have at least 467 there.

If you can continue the stats, please do so, for football's sake.

Kind regards!

Lorry Gundersen (talk) 00:05, 14 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again! I was kinda hoping that you could probably know any other site/database about football in the Maldives, which could help his numbers being continued, but no worries anyway, and thanks for trying. Cheers! Lorry Gundersen (talk) 19:55, 14 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Unexplained reverts[edit]

Please refrain from such edits, will not be considered as good faith. Your recent edits at the List of international goals scored by Sunil Chhetri are unexplained. Drat8sub (talk) 11:37, 15 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Why have you removed the win-loss colour schemes in the table? It's already there in Ronaldo and Messi's list of international goals. Before making major changes you are supposed to talk it out with other editors. It took me a great effort and time to add that in the table. Please value the time, energy and dedication other editors go through to contribute here in Wikipedia. — Hemant Dabral (📞) 11:47, 15 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Colouration is not good. This article is also for the colour blind people. This is for whole community. Colours in Messi and Ronaldo pages were edited later on, these are not the original versions of FL. Are you an expert in colour usage for colour blind people? I don't think so. Keep the article simple and clean, no need to give ornamentation, it's serving its purpose best without the colours. I appreciate your effort, but did you discuss the same before adding? Drat8sub (talk) 11:54, 15 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
There are thousands of article on Wikipedia with similar colour schemes. Is it going to be removed everywhere? Also the inline links and references in Wikipedia articles have blue coloured highlights. How is it helping colour-blind people? — Hemant Dabral (📞) 12:05, 15 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Those 1000s of articles you are talking about are not the featured ones and the good ones. As I said if any coloration is in place in a featured article or good article either they are put in place later on or if during nomination then, are followed according to color using guidelines. And colour background of win loss things in Messi Ronaldo articles are added later on. Secondly, citations color that is blue is visible to color blind people due to white background, where as in the article you are coloring the background itself. I don't know why is it hard for you to keep the article clean and simple, it's after all serving its ultimate purpose, is not it ? Does the coloration changing or adding any new purpose? I don't think so. Drat8sub (talk) 12:24, 15 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Are you going to remove win-loss colour scheme from the international goals articles of Ronaldo and Messi too? — Hemant Dabral (📞) 15:36, 15 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Do I have to? No, I don't have time for this, there are lot more lists other than Messi Ronaldo which don't have coloration, I would suggest you, if a list is promoted to FL after lot of discussions, corrections and consensus, please respect that consensus and effort. I came to wikipedia after two years but, left aside the colouration, seeing the condition of the article I felt disgusted it was no where near to the original FL status, a lot of changed in the boxes, not following MOS/MOS:TABLE, no proper citations, I had to revamp it to the FL version. You have been associated to India football project for years now, you could have revamped much earlier rather than coloration thing. Since you are passionate about this articles, and if only you are interested then ping me to work on a project that I'm working and thinking of making it a FA and would love if you want to contribute. Attribution while copying content[edit]

Hi Hemant. It is mandatory to attribute when content is copied with Wikipedia from one to another. I've fixed it for now here Special:Diff/1165958493 at List of awards and honours received by Narendra Modi. Please take care of this next time. Please read thru WP:SPLIT and Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thanks! — DaxServer (t · m · e · c) 14:03, 18 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Edits to Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed[edit]

Hi! I notice you've been adding a section on state honours to Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed which is currently a Good Article. The first edit had deleted a portion of referenced information from the text. The second edit has made an unsubstantiated claim. Besides, the value addition in adding a table in the article without any new information or sources is questionable. I have reverted both the edits as they appear to be disruptive. Ashwin147 (talk) 13:30, 12 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Ashwin147, I don't think adding a table for state honours is a "disruptive" behaviour, it makes article neat and in order. Also the reference is the same as above so its not an "unsubstantiated" claim. — Hemant Dabral (📞) 17:51, 12 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Spelling changes[edit]

I see you made several page-moves today that slightly changed the spellings. On my watchlist were:

In neither case did you explain why. In both cases, all external links and cited refs in each article use the original spelling. What is your basis for these changes? DMacks (talk) 13:05, 14 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Spelling correction, alternative spelling. Sometimes articles can have misspellings too. "Bhartiyam" is suppose to be the correct Sanskrit word "Bharatiyam". — Hemant Dabral (📞) 15:05, 14 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Flags?[edit]

Hello Hemant. I wanted to talk to you regarding the countrydata templates of the States of India. I understand that no Indian State has an official flag but then what is the point of a countrydata template existing then if the flag would be the Indian national flag for all the states. The template would most likely be used articles such as physical features where the states is encompasses would be listed along with their flags below the country (India) or in district or town articles where the country is listed in top and after that the first level administrative division or in this the Indian State pr UT. There would be no point of a countrydata template if it would be just the national flag in each state. Because of this most articles use Template:flagicon image instead. I apologise for make so many changes without having a discussion first, but I hope you understand the situation. PadFoot2008 (talk) 05:14, 27 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

National flag of India can be used for states/union territories in those articles/list/tables where it's appropriate to show the subnational flags. If using it feels like spamming the Indian flag everywhere then I'd recommend to not use flagicon templates where it's not really needed. I created these country data templates for Indian states and union territories in line with other subnational flags of the federal nations (and some large unitary states like China) for the purpose of comparison and parity. — Hemant Dabral (📞) 07:35, 27 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
