Handwriting_Recognition (with a capital R)[edit]

Reconsider redirecting Handwriting_Recognition (with a capital R) to this one Handwriting_recognition. I am skeptical that the capital R makes that big a difference, and I don't think anyone intends to find graphology when they wiki for handwriting recognition. Ink Pens with Handwriting Recog[edit]

I'm a heavy user of the Anoto/Logitech digital pen! (But I'm probably the only person who likes it). The handwriting recognition I only use for the search feature....Swirsky 04:08, 10 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Add Real Examples?[edit]

I was wondering if real online examples could be added without it being considered as spam. I know two online experimental hand writing apps and I don't think many exist.

Can they be added? Cy21(talk) 09:19, 5 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Microsoft Inferno[edit]

Can anyone cite references for the discussion on the Microsoft Inferno software or project, please? I've failed to find anything on the net (eg googling "+inferno +neural site:microsoft.com" finds nothing). Many thank P.r.newman (talk) 13:19, 7 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Blacklisted Links Found on the Main Page[edit]

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

Below is a list of links that were found on the main page:

Resolved This issue has been resolved, and I have therefore removed the tag, if not already done. No further action is necessary.—cyberbot II NotifyOnline 05:53, 12 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Strenghts and Missing Links[edit]

The strenghts of this article so far is to distinguish between online/offline models and cursive versus separated letters. But as for actually available software or services in order to recognize handwritten texts from paper, it fails. Maybe it is a matter of fact that all promising products have been swallowed by microsoft? And their office tools do include OCR for printed texts and onine HWR using a stylus. But how about handwritings on paper? Is there any FOSS projects at least? 2A02:3100:70E1:700:3CC8:3756:EEA8:DBBD (talk) 11:30, 1 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
