The Spam-whitelist page is used in conjunction with the Mediawiki SpamBlacklist extension, and lists strings of text that override Meta's blacklist and the local spam-blacklist. Any administrator can edit the spam whitelist. Please post comments to the appropriate section below: Proposed additions (web pages to unblock), Proposed removals (sites to reblock), or Troubleshooting and problems; read the messageboxes at the top of each section for an explanation. See also MediaWiki talk:Spam-blacklist.

Please enter your requests at the bottom of the Proposed additions to Whitelist section and not at the very bottom of the page. Sign your requests with four tildes: ~~~~

Also in your request, please include the following:

  1. The link that you want whitelisted in the section title, like === example.com/help/index.php === .
  2. The Wikipedia page on which you want to use the link
  3. An explanation why it would be useful to the encyclopedia article proper
  4. If the site you're requesting is listed at /Common requests, please include confirmation that you have read the reason why requests regarding the site are commonly denied and that you still desire to proceed with your request

Important: You must provide a full link to the specific web page you want to be whitelisted (leave out the http:// from the front; otherwise you will not be able to save your edit to this page). Requests quoting only a domain (i.e. ending in .com or similar with nothing after the / character) are likely to be denied. If you wish to have a site fully unblocked please visit the relevant section of MediaWiki talk:Spam-blacklist.

Note: Do not request links to be whitelisted where you can reasonably suspect that the material you want to link to is in violation of copyright (see WP:LINKVIO). Such requests will likely be summarily rejected.

There is no automated notification system in place for the results of requests, and you will not be notified when your request has a response. You should therefore add this page to your personal watch list, to your notifications through the subscribe feature, or check back here every few days to see if there is any progress on it; in particular, you should check whether administrators have raised any additional queries or expressed any concerns about the request, as failure to reply to these promptly will generally result in the request being denied.

Completed requests are archived, additions and removal are logged. →snippet for logging: {{/request|1177710272#section_name}}

Note that requests from new or unregistered users are not usually considered.

Notice to everyone about our Reliable sources and External links noticeboards[edit]

If you have a source that you would like to add to the spam-whitelist, but you are uncertain that it meets Wikipedia's guideline on reliability, please ask for opinions on the Reliable sources noticeboard, to confirm that it does meet that guideline, before submitting your whitelisting request here. In your request, link to the confirming discussion on that noticeboard.

Likewise, if you have an external link that you are uncertain meets Wikipedia's guideline on external links, please get confirmation on the External links noticeboard before submitting your whitelisting request here.

If your whitelist request falls under one of these two categories, the admins will be more willing to have the source whitelisted if you can achieve consensus at one of the above noticeboards.

Proposed additions to Whitelist (web pages to unblock)[edit]

newsbytesapp.com[edit]

Trying to add above link in the article reference but seems that Damain name is blacklist by Wikipedia. Pls put this site link for Whitelist inclusion. SEEZASAROJ (talk) 21:06, 16 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

@SEEZASAROJ: no Declined. This was deemed an aggregator site run by some alumni, there must be more authorative sources available. --Dirk Beetstra T C 10:21, 19 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

andrewprokos.com/photos/inverted-uae-series/[edit]

Under the Wikipedia topic Negative (photography), I have indirectly referenced Andrew Prokos’s ‘inverted’ photographic series (by referencing a competition award) but I have not been able to reference it directly by the link given above. It would be helpful to use the direct link because it discusses the premise behind the photographs and the properties of negative photographic images generally. At present Wikipedia has an entry for Andrew Prokos himself but does not permit references to his personal website which seems somewhat anomalous. EcclesMan (talk) 15:59, 29 August 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

no Declined. @EcclesMan: MediaWiki talk:Spam-blacklist/archives/March 2008#andrewprokos.com gives the background about why it was blacklisted: the site owner spammed Wikipedia with links and apparently created sockpuppets to do so. And yes, we already have whitelisted a link to his bio page for use in his biography article; that is the only link to his personal website that is necessary. The citation you added to negative (photography) already includes these photographs from Prokos. Secondary sources are always preferable to primary sources; therefore, a link to the primary source is redundant and unnecessary. ~Anachronist (talk) 16:31, 29 August 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

mantle.xyz[edit]

  • Link requested to be whitelisted: mantle.xyz

I am trying to create the page for Mantle which is a Layer 2 scaling solution for Ethereum; it is a large project, with more than $3 billion in assets under management (https://www.coindesk.com/business/2023/08/22/mantle-stakes-66m-of-ether-on-lido-as-part-of-treasury-management-strategy/) I reckon this is a notable project and it deserves a Wikipedia entry Itemirus (talk) 06:27, 1 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

cyburbia.org[edit]

  • Link requested to be whitelisted: Cyburbia.org

Cyburbia.org: Linksearch en (insource) - meta - de - fr - simple - wikt:en - wikt:frMER-C X-wikigs • Reports: Links on en - COIBot - COIBot-Local • Discussions: tracked - advanced - RSN • COIBot-Link, Local, & XWiki Reports - Wikipedia: en - fr - de • Google: searchmeta • Domain: domaintoolsAboutUs.com For the page Architecture of Buffalo, New York, I am hoping you will whitelist one page at Cyburbia called "Unbuilt Buffalo: the Niagara Frontier that almost was." I don't know of anything else online that catalogs the unbuilt projects of the Buffalo area.Guybrarian (talk) 21:51, 8 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

no Declined, this is an open internet forum; just user-generated material. We can't use it as a source, but the users there often quote their sources - you can likely use many of those. Sam Kuru (talk) 23:42, 8 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

kibrit.com.tr[edit]

This page is the only official website for Cloud Render Farm where ppp can reach ultra high cuda from any point of the earth. it is also listed in the autodesk which is world's Industria leader software application. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kaoskurtyusuf (talkcontribs)

If Cloud Render Farm ever becomes notable, we can whitelist it for that; until then, no Declined OhNoitsJamie Talk 16:22, 14 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

plap.xyz[edit]

The website is the official site for Plap, an online event management application, for which I'm creating a draft for. But it being blacklisted is preventing me from publishing. Hope this would make it get whitelisted.Doyin Dimeji (talk) 18:37, 15 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

For a draft to have any chance of being accepted, you'll need multiple third-party reliable sources. Not being able to link to the company's page shouldn't prevent you from creating the draft. If the draft is accepted, whitelisting would be appropriate. OhNoitsJamie Talk 18:52, 15 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

ocaml.xyz[edit]

  • Why : This page is the official website for the OCaml Scientific Computing project "OWL". It has served this purpose since 2018, and it is referenced from the project's repo https://github.com/owlbarn/owl. This website includes well organized documentation and information that is vital for anyone interested in the project, but it is blocked due to the .xyz TLD.
  • Which articles: A link to this site should be provided in the Owl Scientific Computing software infobox.

northerntransmissions.com/jane-remover-announces-census-designated/[edit]

  • Link requested to be whitelisted: northerntransmissions.com/jane-remover-announces-census-designated/
  • Why: I am requesting that this URL be whitelisted because it would be useful to cite on the article listed below. Specifically, it provides information about the studio the album was recorded at, and it also describes the album's cover art, both which could useful if an editor like myself wanted to include this information and needed a secondary source to back it up.
  • Which article: Census Designated
  • Note: Northern Transmissions seems to be a fairly reliable source, although I understand there were some issues with the site around a decade ago. An editor included a list of other notable publications writers at Northern Transmissions have also written for on the Reliable sources Noticeboard.

Thank you,

villageinfo.in[edit]

This link is blacklisted with no reason as to why, Reason to Whitelist: contains vital information to an article which is being proposed for deletion, here is a link to a page with a link to the page i need whitelisted: https://sites.google.com/view/redirectlinkto/home. (I cant list the direct link because it is blacklisted.) — Preceding unsigned comment added by PaulGamerBoy360 (talkcontribs) 00:53, 22 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Not done. For the record, you can simply omit the "http" part of the link and it will display just fine without triggering the filter. All entries to the block list are logged with a reason. The log is here. That entry was from 2019 and refers to a specific request here, which was the result of a discussion at the Reliable Sources Noticeboard. I can see you've been trying to add other links related to that discussion; I can also see that you've attempted to circumvent the block list by using URL shorteners in the past - please do not do that. In this case, since there's a formal discussion that concluded this is not a reliable source, it would be best to start a new discussion there. Sam Kuru (talk) 01:20, 22 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Onefive has nothing to do with this site. PaulGamerBoy360 (talk) 17:27, 25 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
No one said it did. Read the full linked discussion, please. Sam Kuru (talk) 01:43, 26 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I do not recal ever using a shortened link PaulGamerBoy360 (talk) 17:30, 25 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Reminder: on April 29.2023 you twice attempted to use another blacklisted link, then created a shortcut to the same link at tinyurl in an attempt to bypass the block. Even worse: you added your own open-hosting link with a list of garbage scrapers, several of which are blacklisted, to a live article. That was three days ago. Again, do not do that. Proposed removals from Whitelist (web pages or link patterns to re-block)[edit]
