Hello,

The painting was presented for the first time in Paris in 1920. Since then it has belonged to different owners. Currently, it is part of a private collection. Many works that have fallen into the public domain are part of private collections. For example, the Paul Allen Collection.

I took the photo during its presentation as part of an exhibition at the Musée du Luxembourg in Paris from March 2 to July 10, 2022 whose title was: Pionières - Artistes dans le Paris des années folles (Pioneers - Artists in the Paris of the Roaring Twenties).

None of the articles listed on the file description page require this particular image. In four out of five, the image was replaced with free analogues. In one contributor objected with the rationale: better before. As I believe, the uploader is unaware that the (other) image of the same original 1985 release was deleted per another FFD discussion. Not all song articles display original releases (just because they exist as such). As determined before, this cover art still is extraneous and unneeded. Comment I'm actively working on improving this page (it's currently in my sandbox, where I tend to do this sort of stuff) but I think the cover art actually does matter here. The reissue art is just that - a reissue. The song charted in Japan upon release, and I think it's independently notable for that reason. I'm not wedded to having both, but I think it would be a disservice to the song's story to not include both given how utterly unusual its chart history is (having charted in the 80s, and then in the 2010s). I can't think of anything really like it in modern times, but including only the image for a re-release by the same artist 35 years after the original came out just doesn't seem like the right approach. The 2021 re-release art, for what it's worth, is independently notable because of just how important the image was to the song's viral success - there have been quite a few articles written about this. Umm, the original release was less successful than most recent reissue one. I don't see how the sandbox version would help justify use of the 1985 image that was deleted previously. What you said just now can be illustrated by an audio sample or just text alone. The original 1985 cover art displays just the singer's name and song title and may be unnecessary. Keep But might I make a suggestion to swap where the images are placed in the infobox. Part of the infobox image's purpose is to indicate to the reader that they have arrived at the correct page. I agree with George that the 2021 reissue cover is certainly more recognizeable, because it matches the artwork used in the YouTube video(s) which made the song popular. It also charted higher in 2021 than in 1985. That said, I think the 1985 artwork is still important from a historical perspective (it charted back then too!), so it should be the "alternative artwork" at the bottom of the infobox.
