Cap badge?[edit]

Section blanking[edit]

The section on geographic police divisions was originally created on 12 July 2006. It was blanked on 3 June 2010 without explanation. If the divisions no longer exist, please revert - with edit summary.--Kudpung (talk) 07:52, 3 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed poplice force merger[edit]

According to the article a police force merger was proposed in 2006. It would be good if someone with local knowledge could investigate what happened, and updates the article accordingly.--Kudpung (talk) 13:34, 26 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This wasn't a local issue. It was a well known national idea floated by the previous Government that would have effected nearly all territorial police forces in the United Kingdom. It is documented in the articles that overview policing nationally. It wasn't specific or unique to West Mercia Police. Dibble999 (talk) 14:51, 26 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Corruption in west mercia police[edit]

The force has been involved in 2 high profile incidents in the last 4 years - both of which were headline news. The death of Dalian Atkinson was a national story - he was a world famous footballer who had played for 1 of the country's top clubs - and the death of Georgia Williams was rarely out of the local news for 2 to 3 years. These stories should definitely be included in the article. Other users have added information on Georgia Williams and Dalian Atkinson already. But each time the information has been deleted as if these tragedies never happened or as if they never concerned west mercia police.

If you have sourced material, written in an appropriate NPOV style, and composed with a reasonable standard of literacy, I'm sure it will be given reasonable consideration: edits such as yesterday's will not be accepted. Kevin McE (talk) 13:08, 23 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Blunders[edit]

In just a few short years West Mercia has made a string of very high profile blunders which have cost 2 people their lives, the case of Georgia Williams broke the heart of thousands of people in Telford and sent shockwaves for miles around and there was even more uproar months later when all the information came out about what Jamie Reynolds had done before, but the case of Dalian Atkinson was very much a national story as it concerned the death of a world famous footballer who was killed by the police themselves. These facts have been highlighted before on Wikipedia, but have been deleted each time that someone has added information. As though Georgia Williams and Dalian Atkinson never existed, and as if Jamie Reynolds had never existed and never done anything before which could have seen him locked up or at least monitored when free, and as if West Mercia police were not at fault and as if neither of these deaths would have happened if it hadn't been for their failure to do things properly. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.105.102.183 (talk) 23:51, 14 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
