pronouns[edit]

An IP editor changed the male pronouns in the article to female pronouns, this is incorrect per MOS:IDENTITY, because Penner returned to his original name and was identifying as male at the time of his death we should be refering to him as male. the same incorrect edit was made in early 2014 from an anonymous account - i have undone this edit for the reasons of MOS:IDENTITY. It's an awkward one since Penner clearly identified as Daniels, a female, and transexual, for a significant period. But it's hard to ignore that within a year of transition he had resumed his former name and male identification. I think the article has to respect that, notwithstanding the understandable and correct desire to respect transexual identity more generally, in this specific case, a reversion to the male pronoun seems the only logical outworking of Penner's own later decisions.
