Meridiana the demon?[edit]

There is a female demon called Meridiana. She is mentioned here, regarding a legend about pope Sylvester II. Should we create a new page for her? Tatoeba (talk) 23:23, 11 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Uhhh, do you have references about that?

Russian site[edit]

http://www.meridiana.it/ru/index.htm is a Russian site about MeridianaFly. We should encourage the creation of an article in Russian. WhisperToMe (talk) 05:57, 22 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Naples[edit]

Isn't Naples a focus city for Meridiana Fly? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 165.82.82.176 (talk) 01:49, 26 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

no, Meridiana is an airline headquatered in Olbia, Sardinia — Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.10.155.233 (talk) 16:21, 6 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

But Naples has more nonstop destinations served by Meridiana than Turin or Catalina, both of which are listed as focus cities. 50.136.58.114 (talk) 15:45, 24 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The airline is officially headquartered in Sardinia where is located the presidency, the registered office, the maintainance and the training center.

Requested move 19 February 2018[edit]

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: no consensus to move the page at this time/procedural issues, per the discussion below. The proposed target is occupied, and since no one closing move requests is going to mandate a merge, this can't go through until the issue of whether there should be one or two articles has been resolved. Please feel free to propose a change of title in the future if the target becomes available. Dekimasuよ! 03:20, 26 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

MeridianaAir Italy – Airline changed name. CortesiRaccoon (talk) 19:36, 19 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Support: Here is the source: https://airlinegeeks.com/2018/02/19/italys-meridiana-relaunches-as-air-italy/. 97.85.118.142 (talk) 05:36, 20 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

A new page has been created for the new airline → Air Italy

  • Probably not the best idea creating a new page as it makes it harder to just move this one if that is the agreed consensus. MilborneOne (talk) 17:54, 20 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This page doesn't need to be renamed a new page for the new airline has already been completed and all the information has been added, its the same circumstances with Alisarda which still has its own separate page after it was re branded to Meridiana CBG17 (talk) 17:57, 20 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

There isn't a new airline, it WILL (not now) be just Meridiana that change the name into Airitaly. But not now, so we don't have to move Meridiana for the moment and the new page should be cancelled. --Wind of freedom (talk) 22:09, 20 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The new page should not be cancelled its no different to Alisarda which is what Meridiana was before, which has its own page and they also had the same AOC. Which is the same circumstances as now. CBG17 (talk) 23:32, 20 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You're right, so we also should also cancel Alisarda, because is just a change of name, not a change of ownership of something else. --Wind of freedom (talk) 03:47, 21 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Alitalia also has 2 pages, for the old one and the new one no difference there again. The page and this page are fine as they are by changing it all again it will cause confusion for readers and editors. CBG17 (talk) 22:44, 21 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

But Alitalia refers to 2 different companies, the old and the new one. Returning to Air Italy/old Meridiana, the change had already been made. On 19 Feb. The new logo ordered. In a very few days even the Internet site will be changed.--Enzino (talk) 21:41, 22 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The both Alitalias still used the same AOC and technically the new Air Italy is a new company because it is owned by AQA hodings where as Meridina was owned by Alisarda solely. CBG17 (talk) 23:05, 22 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Enzino is right. The Alitalia issue is different because between the one and the other there has been a change of ownership and licenses. Here is just a rebranding, like Finmeccanica and Leonardo S.p.A., just to stay in the Italian context. --Wind of freedom (talk) 02:40, 23 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
