Father Faber[edit]

He wrote at least one book on The Sacrament, The Eucharist.

In it he said: "The true Church, you must know, never left the Catacombs."

This is my comment and can be substanciated.

There is no reference in the article page that he was Father Frederick William Faber. He became a Catholic Priest. This reference is missing.

Homoerotic Notions[edit]

After watching a slow motion edit war, I rewrote the claim regarding Faber's homoerotic tendencies to match what scholars have actually perceived for the last 50 years. As far as the "fatally attractive" phrase, Faber claimed he WAS fatally attractive, not fatally attracted. Kirstie Blair is quite clear on this in her article" "The young Faber, charming, handsome, and (according to himself) fatally attractive to both sexes" (first page of article). Drive-bys continue to attempt to delete well documented evidence of Faber's homoerotic tendencies. It is a not a prurient aside, it is notable and relevant to literary criticism of his poetry.
