Nearly-extinct occupations[edit]

I was surprised to find blacksmith and farrier not listed here. I concede that there are still a handful of each today, but a tiny fraction of the number that there were when horses were a major form of transport.

Should these be added here, or is there a category for occupations that are nearly extinct but not quite? What about fletcher (a maker of arrows)? I would argue that something can be obsolete without being non-existent. LachlanA (talk) 04:09, 10 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Cavalry[edit]

The page for cavalry says that several armies still field non-ceremonial, horse mounted cavalry units, primarily for operations in mountainous or extremely isolated areas. As such, shouldn't it be removed from this category? 2607:FEA8:9563:9A00:F0C5:D610:B161:BAF4 (talk) 21:08, 23 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
