I removed all the graduates of Wheaton High School and Wheaton Community High School from the list of Wheaton North's notable alumni. As far as the Illinois High School Association is concerned, Wheaton Warrenville South High School is the successor of Wheaton and Wheaton Community High Schools (see Wheaton (W. Warrenville South) Season Summaries at ihsa.org); since the athletic records of those earlier schools are considered part of the athletic records of WWSHS, the graduates of those schools should therefore also be considered WWSHS alums. And while this would fall into the category of original research, I can attest as a former resident of Wheaton that no one thinks of, say, Red Grange or Bob Woodward as Wheaton North alums; I'm fairly certain that anyone who claimed them as such would be laughed out of the room. I am not affiliated with Wheaton North, but I do know enough history of the schools to know that John is correct about this. LonelyBeacon 17:43, 16 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Assessing[edit]

Per the request, I am assessing this High School for the Illinois Project. When I first saw it, I was leaning towards a B rating, but after looking at a FA school Plano Senior High School, this article is only at the Start level. Keep it up though, and I would model it more after Plano.--Kranar drogin 02:06, 17 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The article has probably changed a lot since the last assessment and I am giving it C-class for now, better referencing being the main improvement needed for B-class, with gaps filled in and use of templates such as {{cite web}}. Alumni also give it Mid importance for WikiProject Schools. Camaron · Christopher · talk 11:24, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The ranch dressing incident isn't the best thing that ever happened, but it's notable[edit]

We've got mulitple reliable sources. I don't think it gets undue significance in the article, given that it was on much of the local news and even the Internet as well. Anyone else have any thoughts? If not, I'm going to add it back in in a couple of weeks. RJaguar3 | u | t 22:09, 1 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Activities and Preforming Arts[edit]

I am an alumni of Wheaton North High School and was myself involved in many of the activities at Wheaton North and they most definitely deserve more than one sentence. I plan on going into detail about the activities at the school and elaborating on what they were and their origins. As well as the activities, the preforming arts can be greatly expanded. Coming from a student who spent four years in the orchestra, as well as on and off the stage involved in the preformances there, it deserves more than half of a paragraph. — Preceding unsigned comment added by AGSPianoMan (talkcontribs) 16:35, 9 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
