Yes, it seems that nearly all the content on the page could be found on Cisco Press or certification material. Sad, but I am removing almost everything. --MathsPoetry (talk) 21:36, 20 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Diambiguation[edit]

There's some rather broken things near the bottom of the page, but I'm not familiar enough with wiki code to fix it.

This may warrant a disambiguation page as the same acronym is used for three distinct protocols. - Xenophore 23:13, 27 September 2007 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Xenophore (talkcontribs)

I'm creating a disambiguation page because I'm about to add a fifth meaning for VTP! - Edam (talk) 07:39, 8 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Name change[edit]

I suggest a change of article's name to its full form "VLAN Trunking Protocol" to be coherent with naming of other articles (GRE, DTP, etc.) — Aleksey Gerasimov (talk) 19:29, 20 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

VLAN Pruning[edit]

I don't believe the text description matches the diagram. Also, in the diagram, it is not clear which switch is performing the stated pruning. (Isn't it possible for both switches at the end of a given link to prune different VLANs?) I'm not knowledgeable enough about this topic to make changes. Historic?[edit]

The Cisco page is still there, but it would be great to put this into historical context some how. When was it? W Nowicki (talk) 23:40, 27 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
