Vivaldi[edit]

"He often criticized Vivaldi for being too wild when he played."

Source? The only mention I can see is a passing reference in the Versuch on his regarding Vivaldi's later works as too theatrical. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.176.254.125 (talk) 19:37, 5 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Making sub-sections collapsible[edit]

Is it possible to make sub-sections in lists of works collapsible? The balance looks wrong otherwise. When I have more time, I'll try to expand the other sections. Rigaudon (talk) 20:55, 18 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Wording[edit]

The fragment "(his blacksmith father died when Quantz was young. At his deathbed, he begged his son to follow in his footsteps)" is hard to parse. Is it the blacksmith father who is dying, and begging his son to become a blacksmith? Or is it the blacksmith father who is dying, and begging his son to become a musician, following in the footsteps of his uncle? Or are death-bed conversations a tradition in this family, and when Joachim Quantz eventually dies, he will urge his own son to become a musician? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.224.197.150 (talk) 09:27, 7 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

fixed; must be the father.--FeanorStar7 (talk) 11:53, 8 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
