Framed view.[edit]

My recollection is that even though the paradise like plushness of the nature is referenced in the name, the "window" part of the name references the fact that a certain spot on the escarpment, there is a "slot" (for want of a better word) between two jutting rocks which "frames" the vista splendidly. Would be nice if somebody could confirm my (ever unreliable) memory; and yes, a picture would be "nice". -- Cimon Avaro; on a pogostick. (talk) 11:29, 20 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Is this the view you have in mind? If so, it might be possible that I have a photo we can use, will have to check. --NJR_ZA (talk) 13:56, 20 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Well, it certainly is a view that is well framed. I can not positively say that that is the view I mean, because my memory is from some 34 years back, and I was 8 years old, so I basically have only the thin memory about the view being framed, I couldn't really bring to my memory precisely what it looked like. -- Cimon Avaro; on a pogostick.
