Jeckeln trial[edit]

I was curious about the people pictured with Jeckeln in the Riga trial photo.

They appear to be:

  • Friedrich Werther
  • Bronislav Pavel
  • Friedrich Jeckeln
  • Wolfgang von Ditfurth
  • Siegfried Ruff
  • Hans Küpper
  • Albrecht Graf Digeon von Montenon

List sourced from here: "A group of ex-officials of the Riga military district were arraigned before a Soviet military court, from January 26, 1946, to February 3, 1946. All were found guilty and sentenced to death, Including the chief of police Ostland, Friedrich Jeckeln. They were all hanged at Riga on the 3rd February 1946."

These people don't seem to have English wiki pages. Would it be worthwhile to include the information on the co-defendants here, if I'm able to find reliable sources?

For example, here's the confirmation on Wolfgang von Ditfurth - he was a commander of the 403 Security Division. Source: German Order of Battle: 291st-999th Infantry divisions, named infantry ... by Samuel W. Mitcham

I could provide something along the lines of:

  • Along with Jeckeln, the following commanders from the Baltic military districts were executed: Lieutenant General (or respective German rank) Wolfgang von Ditfurth, commander of 403 Security Division; etc.

Some of the names appear in this German-language source: Der Nationalsozialismus vor Gericht by Gerd R. Ueberschär, Rainer Achim Blasius.

Any feedback? K.e.coffman (talk) 01:12, 26 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

How many survivors of the Rumbala massacre?[edit]

Here it is said to be three. In Frida Michelson's page, two. Could somebody find a RS and settle down the question? Carlotm (talk) 08:24, 22 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Carlotm: It looks like there were several, e.g.: As the Witnesses Fall Silent: 21st Century Holocaust Education; the sources are not very specific. K.e.coffman (talk) 06:39, 27 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks K.e.coffman. Some changes may be necessary then. Carlotm (talk) 06:53, 28 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Preserving here by providing this link; my rationale was: "unsourced OR; revised infobox to more suitable setup; c/e". --K.e.coffman (talk) 04:57, 10 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
