Church of Christ[edit]

The use of the term Church of Christ in relation to the Mormons is entirely misleading. Church of Christ more generally refers to a non-denominational group of Christian churches unconnected to the Mormons.

The Church of Christ was the title of the first Mormon church organized in 1830. See Church of Christ (Mormonism). COGDEN June 28, 2005 21:30 (UTC)

Misspelled?[edit]

Isn't this article title misspelled? According to my dictionary, "fulness" is spelled with two l's. i.e. "fullness". "Fulness" is an acceptable alternative, but it looks awkward to me. Anyone else? Frecklefoot | Talk June 28, 2005 16:42 (UTC)

The article is indeed spelled archaically. The "fulness" spelling was taken from the spelling in the King James Version, which is also the way it is spelled in Mormon scripture. I think that keeping the archaic spelling, with a redirect, might be a good idea, because the phrase's KJV translation is equally archaic as its spelling. Using modern English, a much better translation of the phrase would be something like "the program for the fulfillment of the ages." COGDEN June 28, 2005 21:30 (UTC)

Mormon usage correction[edit]

Don't Mormons believe that the restoration of their church was *part of* the dispensation of the fulness of times? The article states it is the era *after which* the church was restored. Probably more accurate to say the era *in which...*, or the era *that began when...*, the church was believed to have been restored, etc.
