Podtureň (Hungarian: Pottornya) is a village and municipality in Liptovský Mikuláš District in the Žilina Region of northern Slovakia.

History[edit]

In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1345.

Geography[edit]

The municipality lies at an altitude of 615 metres and covers an area of 5.081 km2 (2 sq mi). It has a population of about 514 people.
