Allowed references

What are the current websites allowed as references? I remember years before Allkpop wasn't allowed but now seems like it is. Jaewon [Talk] 21:01, 3 April 2014 (UTC)

I brought it up on WP:RSN, but there wasn't any replies to it. I think the general consensus is that allkpop can be trusted, but mostly as a translation of a reliable source. Original sources in Korean are valued more, I think. KJ click here 22:34, 3 April 2014 (UTC)
@Kkj11210: I just finished reading what you said about its reliability. Allkpop is currently the only site for Korean music in English. Besides Korean music news, it is the only site with the most news on actors and comedians too. Hancinema does have articles from Korea Times and other Korean news sites, though. Jaewon [Talk] 00:53, 4 April 2014 (UTC)
@Jay2kx:Well, this is what I put on the RSN

Allkpop is an English, US-based K-pop blog published by 6Theory Media, LLC. Despite its disclaimer that it is a 'celebrity gossip site which publishes rumors and conjecture in addition to accurately reported facts' as self-proclaimed here, it is also the most trafficked English based K-pop news site in the world, with over 6 million monthly readers worldwide and 100 million pageviews per month, according to its website. There has been previous discussions about the validity of this site as a source, at the reliable sources noticeboard, best represented by the discussions: Wikipedia:Reliable_sources/Noticeboard/Archive_121#allkpop.com and Wikipedia:Reliable_sources/Noticeboard/Archive_125#Allkpop_and_Soompi, mostly with a consensus that it's unreliable. However, Wikipedians seems to trust and use allkpop as a reliable source. There is a somewhat significant usage of allkpop as a source, as seen in the following articles: A Pink showing 28 out of 67 sources; Sistar showing 28 out of 50; Miss A showing 39 out of 63.

KJ click here 02:00, 4 April 2014 (UTC)
@Kkj11210:It's sad that nobody replied back to it but I do agree with one person (on archive 121) saying K-pop is troublesome. I've seen too many fan-wars over whose information is correct. I think we are too spread out when contributing to Korea-related articles. You're one of the few translators I've seen on Wikipedia. Jaewon [Talk] 03:33, 4 April 2014 (UTC)
I think we should treat this as reliable. I am a bit pressed for time, can someone report the consensus from past discussions? I'd suggest we summarize the discussion and our views in a dedicated page, perhaps Wikipedia:WikiProject_Korea/Allkpop, where we would redirect Wikipedia:Allkpop to reduce the chance another group of editors will have to spend time re-answering this question in the future. A see also link could be added from Wikipedia:External links/Perennial websites. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 10:55, 4 April 2014 (UTC)
@Kkj11210 and Piotrus: So while I was working on an article, I wrote down sites that can be use as references/sources. Sites: Korean Herald, The Korea Times, Korea.com, Variety, Korea Joongang Daily, The Chosun Ilbo, The Dong-a Ilbo, BNT News, Visit Seoul, The Hollywood Report and Yonhap. What do you think? Can somebody review Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Namoo Actors for me? Jaewon [Talk] 15:53, 24 April 2014 (UTC)

Dear Jaewon: I'm sorry I didn't get back to you about this after you asked me. I've been a little distracted this week, and I was having difficulty deciding about it. I'm not an expert in this area, so I hope that you find someone here to look at it. —Anne Delong (talk) 19:46, 24 April 2014 (UTC)

Help needed

On Bosulachi. I don't speak korean, but the article isn't really written in English either - could someone who can read Korean for sources please take a look and try to clean it up? Alternately, we could just delete the article.--Obi-Wan Kenobi (talk) 16:26, 25 March 2014 (UTC)

Me either else I would of helped already. Hopefully, somebody sees it before it is time to delete it. Jaewon [Talk] 02:50, 26 March 2014 (UTC)
Well, someone helped it already, however I am doubtful if the article has notability. Revicomplaint? 10:36, 26 March 2014 (UTC)
I took a look at the article. It was neither true or notable I think. I even never heard about the word actually. Is there anyone who knows this word? Db9023 (talk) 08:10, 29 April 2014 (UTC)

I am on the verge of AfD-ing this as WP:NOTNEWS, unless someone can explain why this is a notable incident. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 11:09, 2 May 2014 (UTC)

I haven't heard about it and if it is big news in South Korea, CNN and others might report it. Jaewon [Talk] 14:26, 2 May 2014 (UTC)

I need feedback for the wp navigation design. The changes that will be noticeable is the lighter color, WP info and collapsible headers. Thanks. Jaewon [Talk] 19:08, 2 May 2014 (UTC)

Clean up completed. Jaewon [Talk] 03:52, 3 May 2014 (UTC)

The creator hasn't touched it since March 28 (Date of Creation) and the last person to touch it is User:RafaelPPascual on April 5. Needs attention of anybody familiar with the company (Girl's Day). The company, Wellmade STARM, that acquired it doesn't have a article either. Jaewon [Talk] 21:24, 20 April 2014 (UTC)

@Jay2kx: As written, it doesn't pass Wikipedia:Notability (companies). --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 02:17, 4 May 2014 (UTC)
@Piotrus: Whenever somebody creates "Wellmade STARM" then it can be a part of that article since they bought the company. Jaewon [Talk] 02:22, 4 May 2014 (UTC)

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe this is a holiday in South Korea as well. If anybody could add at least a short section, we could try to globalize this a bit from the now "US only" theme. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 02:16, 4 May 2014 (UTC)

@Kkj11210: It should be in current article. Jaewon [Talk] 03:11, 4 May 2014 (UTC)
Alrighty. I'll try working on the article, preferably before the 8th. KJ «Click Here» 03:14, 4 May 2014 (UTC)
The common practice is to discuss similar holidays in one article, unless one is covered sufficiently well to warrant a split to a dedicated stand-alone article. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 06:15, 4 May 2014 (UTC)

Help with Providence

It's a controversial religious movement. I try to help out on the page as much as I can, but many of the sources are in Korean or other languages and I can't really make heads or tails out of these disputes. I can't read the sources, I don't know if they're reliable sources or anything about them, etc.

I would request at the very least for as many people from this project, and especially native Korean speakers to add this page to their watchlist.

Deletion of Sixth Republic of South Korea

I just nominated the Sixth Republic of South Korea for deletion, as I believe it is unnecessary to have. Deletion discussion can be found by following the link at the top of the article. BucaFan3 (talk) 01:18, 11 May 2014 (UTC)

K-pop is a music genre like Pop music is to other countries:

In the template, K-pop, I found these included:

Correct me if I'm wrong, hip hop and rock are separate genres. If that was the case, is Tiger JK a pop star? I understand trot came from Korean pop music so it would be a sub-genre, right?

So what I am proposing is creating a template based on Music of Korea as a whole like Music of Japan's template. The reason for this is to enlighten readers about other genres in Korea.

Good idea or not? Jaewon [Talk] 15:59, 16 April 2014 (UTC)

Seems like a good idea. I asked one of my students to comment on this, I think he has some first-hand experience with K-pop topics. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 10:51, 28 April 2014 (UTC)
@Piotrus: Cool. I already made it so he comment in Template talk:Music of Korea and we can see what needs to be added. Jaewon [Talk] 15:24, 28 April 2014 (UTC)
Tiger JK is a hiphop singer and also a pop star. The categories you have mentioned are not in total different boundaries, they sometimes go with each other or not. And Trot can be described as a 'traditional pop music' of Korea. To say it more clearly, trot is categorized as 'adult-contemporary' -in a proper term. --User:OnestarLim| reply here — Preceding undated comment added 17:04, 11 May 2014 (UTC)

By me. Ideally, it would redirect to National symbols of Korea, a key article missing from the Outline of Korea. Perhaps somebody will be motivated to start it? See symbols of Poland for a good template. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 07:22, 12 May 2014 (UTC)
My own opinion is that someone should write an article on the topic. Though if no one writes an article, the redirect isn't very useful. -- 65.94.171.126 (talk) 05:25, 13 May 2014 (UTC)

Semi-active?

Did anyone notice that this wikiproject was rerated as "semiactive" in March 2014? This wikiproject is much more active that most wikiprojects that are considered "active", so I find this a weird assessment. -- 65.94.77.36 (talk) 12:26, 18 April 2014 (UTC)

A lot of contributors aren't communicating on here and are doing their own thing. When I see more activity on the WP, that is when I would call this active but for now...we're Jeju island with no landline to the mainland. Jaewon [Talk] 14:16, 18 April 2014 (UTC)
I think this project is active enough. Semi-active would "nobody bothers to answer this for a week or two", and a similar occurrence of new topics here. Since there are at least several new topics started here every week, and several people respond to them (in total), I think this passes. Barely, but then our criteria are low... most WikiProjects are run on a virtual shoestring. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 10:46, 28 April 2014 (UTC)
I think this project is active enough, so I removed the semi-active tag here. Revicomplaint? 08:08, 21 May 2014 (UTC)

Can anyone expand Korea Queer Culture Festival with Korean sources?

I have stubbed Korea Queer Culture Festival. I'd like to DYK this, but I run out of reliable English sources. I expect there's much more in Korea sources. You are invited to participate in Wiki Loves Pride 2014, a campaign to create and improve LGBT-related content at Wikipedia and its sister projects. The campaign will take place throughout the month of June, culminating with a multinational edit-a-thon on June 21. Meetups are being held in some cities, or you can participate remotely. All constructive edits are welcome in order to contribute to Wikipedia's mission of providing quality, accurate information. Articles within Category:LGBT in Asia may be of particular interest. You can also upload LGBT-related images by participating in Wikimedia Commons' LGBT-related photo challenge. You are encouraged to share the results of your work here. Leaflet For Wikiproject Korea At Wikimania 2014

Hi all,

My name is Adi Khajuria and I am helping out with Wikimania 2014 in London.

One of our initiatives is to create leaflets to increase the discoverability of various wikimedia projects, and showcase the breadth of activity within wikimedia. Any kind of project can have a physical paper leaflet designed - for free - as a tool to help recruit new contributors. These leaflets will be printed at Wikimania 2014, and the designs can be re-used in the future at other events and locations.

This is particularly aimed at highlighting less discoverable but successful projects, e.g:

• Active Wikiprojects: Wikiproject Medicine, WikiProject Video Games, Wikiproject Film

• Tech projects/Tools, which may be looking for either users or developers.

• Less known major projects: Wikinews, Wikidata, Wikivoyage, etc.

• Wiki Loves Parliaments, Wiki Loves Monuments, Wiki Loves ____

• Wikimedia thematic organisations, Wikiwomen’s Collaborative, The Signpost

For more information or to sign up for one for your project, go to:

Metropolitan/special city -- same thing?

Can anyone confirm whether http://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q482821 (metropolitan city of South Korea) and http://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q7574799 (special city of South Korea) are the same thing? I'm working off of Incheon, which we have listed as a special city of South Korea. The Korean Wikipedia (ko:인천광역시) has it as a 광역시, which links to that other Wikidata page and calls it a metropolitan city of South Korea. Am I right in thinking these are dupe listings on Wikidata? Name in infoboxes

Is it really necessary in the name parameter to have both English and Korean? Hyuna, for example, has her name (in Hangul) in the lead, the native name and korean name infobox. Reliable

Anything of these unreliable? And am I missing any others? Jaewon [Talk] 16:05, 21 August 2014 (UTC)

@Jay2kx:I've brought up the unreliability of Allkpop before, and the same criticism applies to Soompi. This is the post I made about a year ago:
Allkpop is an English, US-based K-pop blog published by 6Theory Media, LLC. Despite its disclaimer that it is a 'celebrity gossip site which publishes rumors and conjecture in addition to accurately reported facts' as self-proclaimed here, it is also the most trafficked English based K-pop news site in the world, with over 6 million monthly readers worldwide and 100 million pageviews per month, according to its website. There is a somewhat significant usage of allkpop as a source, as seen in the following articles: A Pink showing 28 out of 67 sources; Sistar showing 28 out of 50; Miss A showing 39 out of 63. KJ Discuss? 22:21, 21 August 2014 (UTC)
@Kkj11210: Yeah, I know and you are correct, it is their only source for K-pop (Even I have a habit of using it until I find a replacement). This is why I included the sites before them to see who uses them. We need a consensus on what can be use so in the future, new editors won't use them. I was thinking of adding CNN, FOX and other news site (I was waiting to see what others say about these first.) Jaewon [Talk] 23:32, 21 August 2014 (UTC)
@Jay2kx: Well, sources like CNN, FOX, etc. are considered to be reliable. Are you considering making the RS list about all sources or Korean sources only? KJ Discuss? 00:25, 22 August 2014 (UTC)
@Kkj11210: All sources if they can provide good information. Where do you go when looking for sources? Jaewon [Talk] 01:27, 22 August 2014 (UTC)
@Jay2kx: Well, you know that WP:RS has the guideline for reliable sources, and WP:RSN is the noticeboard in which they discuss individual sources as reliable or otherwise. However, if you're making a list for new editors, I suggest that you narrow the scope to news sources that deal mainly with Korean material. A list encompassing the entire sources is going to involve every editor on this Wikipedia and will probably take an eternity to come to a consensus. However, a Korean-related list can simply be compiled and discussed on this Wikiproject. Regards. KJ Discuss? 03:42, 22 August 2014 (UTC)
@Kkj11210: I crossed out four of them but wondering about BNT News. Do you think it is reliable? Jaewon [Talk] 14:24, 22 August 2014 (UTC)

Manual of Style for Korea-related articles

I am looking for feedback to expand Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Korea-related articles after looking at Wikipedia:Manual of Style/China-related articles and Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Japan-related articles. The plan is to add sections about Hatnote and introductory sentence. The last big chunk of expanding before myself and Quant18 was in 2007 by YooChung. Jaewon [Talk] 17:05, 26 August 2014 (UTC)

I want to try adding a section for formatting sources. Let me work on it a bit and I'll try adding it. KJ Discuss? 04:42, 27 August 2014 (UTC)
Alright, I'll see if anything else needs adding. Jaewon [Talk] 14:50, 27 August 2014 (UTC)

There's a point that needs to be agreed upon. The Hangul spelling is usually mentioned in the introductory sentence, but the inclusion of Hanja varies according to article. Right now, MOS:KO holds that:

For articles that do not use infoboxes, the general rule is to transcribe a name or word into Hangul only once, at the first mention

Can we change this so that the introductory sentence includes Hangul, Hanja, and the IPA variations in the introductory sentence? So kind of like Goguryeo. KJ Discuss? 11:27, 28 August 2014 (UTC)

Yes, I agreed with that change. Jaewon [Talk] 12:56, 28 August 2014 (UTC)

@WhisperToMe: You start registering from here. It's not too difficult to register - you don't need to prove you're a Korean citizen or anything - but I think you do need a working Korean phone number. On a side note, I just registered and downloaded the file, though it's in NAPDF form. I don't think you can make an archive, since it seems as if the file can only be viewed by using the flash player, but I'm not sure. KJ Discuss? 11:45, 26 August 2014 (UTC)

Hi guys, there is currently a discussion going on about the redirect Portal:South Korea, if you are interested in creating the portal specific to SK,please comment here. Regards,- TheChampionMan1234 03:58, 1 September 2014 (UTC)

Who reads portals? No-one. They are a waste of our time. Create some articles instead - that's my suggestion. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 07:25, 1 September 2014 (UTC)

Freedom of panorama, and modern buildings in South Kore

H all, at Commons we are currently reviewing the Freedom of Panorama, with regards modern buildings in South Korea, thus far the consensus is that files depicting modern buildings in South Korea, are not compatible with Commons, and will have to be deleted. This will affect all articles, which use such files, for example File:Seoul montage 2013.jpg which is the lead image for the article on Seoul. You are welcome to participate in the discussion, and to suggest ways in which this will have the least impact on articles here, by for example making local fair use copies of files you believe vital to an article, e.g. as has been done with File:Korea-Seoul-N Seoul Tower-01.jpg used in the article N Seoul Tower, generally I think in order to comply with Wikipedia:Non-free content its going to be one file per article, which best illustrates the building or public art work in question. Thanks for listening and please do help us to help you.--KTo288 (talk) 16:53, 1 September 2014 (UTC)

Hello KTo288. I have now read the section on Freedom of panorama as pertains to South Korea at Wikimedia Commons (https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Freedom_of_panorama#Korea_.28South.29), and I am still a bit confused. I see how the rule of permitting reproduction of works permanently installed in public spaces does not apply "where reproduction is made for the purpose of selling its copies." But isn't Wikipedia a non-commercial venture? Does Wikipedia (or Wikimedia Commons) publish its information for the purpose of selling that information? Also, in the case of the N Seoul Tower appearing in the Seoul Montage File:Seoul montage 2013.jpg, it is currently the only image of the tower appearing in the Seoul article. So, with those two criteria in mind, I am still unsure why the image has to be deleted. Thank you again for your good work. Mark Froelich (talk) 01:50, 2 September 2014 (UTC)
As I understand the debate, Commons has a different criterion of uploading images. Images on Commons must be available for commercial usage as well, following the Licensing. Whether the image is the only representation in the Wikipedia article is irrelevant to the Wikimedia Commons discussion. I'll try to find expert opinions on the laws, and if the consensus is that the law is incompatible with Commons license, let me know and I'll try to re-upload images on Wikipedia as non-free files. KJ Discuss? 02:30, 2 September 2014 (UTC)
I see. Thank you, KJ. I had no idea Wikimedia Commons had commercial application like that. Now it becomes clear. I can upload the image on Wikipedia too. The only reason I uploaded it to Wikimedia Commons in the first place was to give it wider usage/availability. Thanks again. Mark Froelich (talk) 03:40, 2 September 2014 (UTC)
"But isn't Wikipedia a non-commercial venture?" - The non-for-profit status of Wikipedia doesn't have any influence on what can and can't be uploaded to Commons. The purpose of Wikimedia Commons is to provide a repository of free-license (free as in freedom, not free beer) content with no copyright restrictions for those who wish to reuse content. Because of this, all content on Commons must have a free license, so that people may reuse content from Commons for any purpose they wish, including commercial acts. --benlisquareTCE 05:35, 2 September 2014 (UTC)
And they have to own the copyright. In case of FoP, you do not own copyright of building designs, so this should be fair use. Revicomplaint? 07:41, 2 September 2014 (UTC)
meta:copyright paranoia strikes again. The most constructive response would be for Korean Wikipedians to try to get Korean government to change the Korean law. Contact Korean chapter of Creative Commons, they may be able to help. Otherwise we are looking and tens of thousands of useful images being deleted. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 06:12, 2 September 2014 (UTC)

Comment on the WikiProject X proposal

Hello there! As you may already know, most WikiProjects here on Wikipedia struggle to stay active after they've been founded. I believe there is a lot of potential for WikiProjects to facilitate collaboration across subject areas, so I have submitted a grant proposal with the Wikimedia Foundation for the "WikiProject X" project. WikiProject X will study what makes WikiProjects succeed in retaining editors and then design a prototype WikiProject system that will recruit contributors to WikiProjects and help them run effectively. Please review the proposal here and leave feedback. If you have any questions, you can ask on the proposal page or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you for your time! (Also, sorry about the posting mistake earlier. If someone already moved my message to the talk page, feel free to remove this posting.) Harej (talk) 22:47, 1 October 2014 (UTC)

Is this mess an attempt to write up about the Naver KiN service? Kin.naver.com seems to be a very important service in Korea. If someone could copyedit this mess into something more useful, I'd very much appreciate it. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 07:02, 25 September 2014 (UTC)

Better to merge it section in Naver, I think. — revi^ 03:40, 2 October 2014 (UTC)

Korean name infobox

Would it be helpful to add the Korean name infobox to more music group pages (e.g. like on Exo (band) and Nine Muses (band))? I ask because I added one to A Pink and another editor reverted it because he didn't think it was needed. I personally think it is useful information to have on group pages. --Random86 (talk) 04:55, 17 September 2014 (UTC)

@Random86: I use it to prevent people from adding korean text in the name parameter like A Pink and Hyuna. We need to have a discussion with other wp korea members about the over-usage of korean names else this kind of problem will continuously happen. Jaewon [Talk] 12:51, 17 September 2014 (UTC)
@Jay2kx: Getting back to this topic, I don't see why the Korean name needs to be underneath the English name in the musical artist infobox. The Korean name is already in the lead text of the article. Is that what you were referring to? Has this ever been discussed before? --Random86 (talk) 23:01, 8 October 2014 (UTC)
@Random86: Yes. I'm sure it has been discussed before but this wp is so small (in my opinion) that one person's views can dominate. Jaewon [Talk] 00:18, 9 October 2014 (UTC)

I am planning on expanding and reorganizing the article on “Suicide in Korea”. Despite the article’s significance, the article lacks in substantial sources and content, and it is rated as “Start Class” in WikiProject Korea. I will replace “Trends” section with “Statistics” section, expand significantly on “Causes” and “Response” sections, and add “Consequences” section. I also hope to add more sources on the “References” section, mostly scholarly articles and data from WHO. I would appreciate any kind of suggestions on scholarly readings regarding the “Consequences” section of my article, and any kind of feedback for the article. I hope to get a better rating for this article, since it holds so much significance in the Korean society. Thanks!

WikiProject X is live!

Hello everyone!

You may have received a message from me earlier asking you to comment on my WikiProject X proposal. The good news is that WikiProject X is now live! In our first phase, we are focusing on research. At this time, we are looking for people to share their experiences with WikiProjects: good, bad, or neutral. We are also looking for WikiProjects that may be interested in trying out new tools and layouts that will make participating easier and projects easier to maintain. If you or your WikiProject are interested, check us out! Note that this is an opt-in program; no WikiProject will be required to change anything against its wishes. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you!

Note: To receive additional notifications about WikiProject X on this talk page, please add this page to Wikipedia:WikiProject X/Newsletter. Otherwise, this will be the last notification sent about WikiProject X.

Towns on Yeongjongdo?

I did some c/e, but the small town where the Yongguksa Temple (photos coming soon) is located doesn't even seem to be mentioned in the island article. Nor does it seem to have a name on Google Map, which just shows dongs (districts?). Which, in fact, doesn't mention any existing settlements. Oh, and the Haesoopia Spa entry seems somewhat spam/promotional. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 03:39, 14 November 2014 (UTC)

Are we missing an article on this entity (also Dong Seoul Bus Terminal) or just a redirect? Some sources I find suggest it is located next to Gangbyeon Station (or are they the same entity)? --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 09:27, 5 November 2014 (UTC)

Wikipedia supports K-pop 'slave contracting', it seems

For example, the layout of Template talk:K-pop group members table places the slave name (in-band stage name) before the persons legal/born-name, e.g. of Red_Velvet_(band)#Members, Wendy Son is notable in her own right (and has a page). However, in the table she is first named, Wendy, in the stage name column - thus, this is the appropriate place the wiki-link the name (it's piped), whilst Wendy Son is linked-orphaned - generally, this seems dehumanising, and to positively support slave contracting, as well as continuously breaking/stressing WP:NOPIPE.

I'd like you know of: others thoughts on Wikipedia support of slave contracts, where such matters have achieved prior consensus, and ideas on modifying Template talk:K-pop group members table, to make legal-names the first instance. – Ian DjScrawl (talk) 02:23, 18 November 2014 (UTC)

I'm in support of maintaining the status quo of using the stage name in the table first and using it to link to the main article.
  1. The stage name is generally the WP:COMMONNAME for the subject. Members are known more for their stage names, and thus it makes sense to place the stage names first as a means of identification. For instance, if you are familiar with Girls' Generation, you probably heard of the name Tiffany, but not her real names, 'Stephanie Young Hwang' or 'Hwang Mi-young.' Putting the later names in front will just confuse the readers who is expecting a clear presentation of the data.
  2. Classifying the stage name as a 'slave name' is just WP:IDONTLIKEIT. The personal choice of the member concerning his stage name cannot be known, and it's a non sequitur fallacy to assume so. In any case, stage names aren't that different from the members' real names in a notable number of cases. For instance, every member in the group A Pink uses their first names as the stage name, as well as 4Minute and AOA; this is true for 3 members out of 4 in Girl's Day, 3 out of 4 in Wonder Girls, and 5 out of 6 in 2PM, to name a few. Eliminating parts of the real name to present the well-known version of that name is hardly unreasonable.
  3. Piping the stage name in the table does not follow any of the instances given in WP:NOPIPE. The piping falls under the first criterion of Wikipedia:Piped link#Use as changing the wording of the article title to fit context. If it is agreeable that the stage name should be presented first, then piping is appropriate, sometimes even necessary.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Kkj11210 (talkcontribs)

I recently created a page for the Andong Kim clan. I'm new to editing, and this is my first page. Considering the New Andong Kim family's monopoly of power during much of the late Joseon dynasty (with the royal family being puppets), I'm hoping that more people will add to this.
