consolidated steel[edit]
The Consolidated Steel Corporation should probably be adopted by the project. I don't have numbers but it looks like it was LA's largest construction business (and a continuation of Llewellyn IW and Baker IW which i believe were the 2 most significant ones before they merged). They also did substantial things for the rest of the world. Lots of ships and the tubes for at least one big pipeline abroad. If one digs deeper, it is likely they had their fingers many Californian projects.
Has as of now a substandard section on the Baker Iron Works. Nowakki (talk) 16:52, 4 March 2023 (UTC)
Infillion Infobox Edit Request[edit]
Hello,
I'm a COI editor working on behalf of the Los Angeles-based media and advertising company Infillion. About a month ago, I placed an edit request on the company article's Talk page, asking for someone to review (and hopefully implement) a few updates to the article's infobox. Unfortunately, I haven't yet found an editor to help me make those changes. Would anyone here be interested? I'm open to any feedback or suggestions you might have.
Thanks in advance, Infillionaire (talk) 16:29, 7 March 2023 (UTC)
Julian C. Messic (1889-1961)[edit]
Does anyone have any sources, or ideas as to where to find sources, for a Californian female architect called Julian Messic? The spelling of the name varies; I think the full name was Charlotte Julian Messic, but I have seen C. Julian Messic, Julian C. Messic, and also Mesic with a single "s". I think her dates were 1889-1961, and she worked as a draughter in the office of Julia Morgan, of Hearst Castle fame. Commons does actually have an image. I'd be very grateful for any help in finding sufficient sources for a Start article. I'll also post at the Architecture Project. Many thanks. KJP1 (talk) 17:53, 23 March 2023 (UTC)
Project-independent quality assessments[edit]
Quality assessments are used by Wikipedia editors to rate the quality of articles in terms of completeness, organization, prose quality, sourcing, etc. Most wikiprojects follow the general guidelines at Wikipedia:Content assessment, but some have specialized assessment guidelines. A recent Village pump proposal was approved and has been implemented to add a |class=
parameter to {{WikiProject banner shell}}, which can display a general quality assessment for an article, and to let project banner templates "inherit" this assessment.
No action is required if your wikiproject follows the standard assessment approach. Over time, quality assessments will be migrated up to {{WikiProject banner shell}}, and your project banner will automatically "inherit" any changes to the general assessments for the purpose of assigning categories.
However, if your project has decided to "opt out" and follow a non-standard quality assessment approach, all you have to do is modify your wikiproject banner template to pass {{WPBannerMeta}} a new |QUALITY_CRITERIA=custom
parameter. If this is done, changes to the general quality assessment will be ignored, and your project-level assessment will be displayed and used to create categories, as at present. Aymatth2 (talk) 20:48, 9 April 2023 (UTC)
Riot Games Operations section review[edit]
Hey there! I'm a Riot Games employee trying to improve the quality of the company's article. We're based in L.A., so I thought our article might be of interest to editors at this WikiProject. A couple weeks ago, I posted a COI edit request on the Riot Talk page that proposes a brief Operations section. It's similar to ones I've seen on other corporate pages, and features key details about the company's structure and function.
Here's the link to that request. If someone could review the request and either add the section to the article or let me know how it can be improved, I would really appreciate it. Thanks! JHixson at Riot Games (talk) 01:03, 17 April 2023 (UTC)

Request for Opionions[edit]
Since the Inland Empire group seems to have migrated to here, I would like to request opinions on a change to the article on Zzyzx.
A sentence I added to the "Popular Culture" section of the article on Zzyzx was removed by an editor; I personally think this was inappropriate. I would be interested in any comments (positive or negative) from editors interested in this topic. See Talk:Zzyzx,_California#Request_for_Comments. Finney1234 (talk) 14:49, 6 May 2023 (UTC)
