Tropical cyclones[edit]
If there are any hurricane/typhoon/cyclone articles that you think should be created, list them here. It will go like this. Note: Not all of these will get an article. It is simply a list. Feel free to debate. Hurricanehink
(Note: If there is anything that was done, please remove them to prevent buildup and confusion. MarioJump83!)
General[edit]
- Politics of tropical cyclones- Could cover censorship of tropical cyclones, also instances in which Hurricane Hunters couldn't enter tropical cyclones due to them being located in forbidden Cuban airspace (such as Hurricane Alberto (1982))
- Also, naming, global warming, naming between warning centers (Hubert in SWIO, Yemyin), disaster debauchery (Katrina/Nargis), overall RSMC borders. ♬♩ Hurricanehink (talk) 15:04, 29 March 2010 (UTC)
- Intresting article - i guess it could also cover when Tc's have had their designations removed by an agency. (ie TC 01U 2007-08}Jason Rees (talk) 16:32, 29 March 2010 (UTC)

- List of tropical cyclone warning breakpoints
- Ideal info for it would include history of the breakpoints, though just listing the breakpoints could work. Maybe include tropical cyclones which had the largest area of warning breakpoints, breakpoints which were the most common, or breakpoints that were the least common. Unofficial ones could be included, such as Canada breakpoints for the Atlantic basin. If a worldwide viewpoint would be too difficult, it could be List of National Hurricane Center tropical cyclone warning breakpoints or, ideally, a much shorter title. Hurricanehink (talk) 02:33, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
- Hurricanes in Mexico (could be split into several articles and turned into parent article)
- Will do, starting with Quintana Roo (man I thought Quintana Roo was in Louisana when I first heard of it.....) I like hurricanes 02:23, 12 November 2020 (UTC)
- List of tropical cyclone that looped A number of Hurricanes off Florida have loop back over their tracks. Some, e.g. Henri 2021, have an open loop that brings the edges of the storm over the same area hours to days apart. A list of these would be useful to our readers. — Lentower (talk) 20:19, 23 August 2021 (UTC)
- Im not personally sure that such a list would be worth it or that useful since a lot of TC's stall like Henri or perform a cyclonic loop like Rewa.Jason Rees (talk) 20:44, 23 August 2021 (UTC)

- I oppose, I think there should be a List of Atlantic tropical and subtropical storms, since most subtropical storms become tropical anyway, and a specific list just for subtropical storms feels potentially unnecessary. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 04:33, 22 January 2022 (UTC)

Hoping to create all of these articles by March 2021, if not earlier.Never mind, I sadly don't think I have enough time....I like hurricanes 01:19, 30 October 2020 (UTC)- Remember 941 mb for Dennis, per the TCR. As a reminder, the TCR always lists the landfall pressure. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 22:29, 10 October 2020
- Since NC was created, I think only a Florida sub-article is warranted now. The effects weren't bad in Georgia, and that state didn't have the level of preps/cancelations/evacuations that Florida did. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 16:48, 28 October 2020 (UTC)

Eastern Pacific[edit]
- Lists
- List of Eastern Pacific tropical cyclones of unknown intensity
- List of Central Pacific tropical cyclones
- Storms
The following are landfalling hurricanes since 1966, some of which could possibly use articles, but others probably wouldn't have enough info. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 17:57, 22 July 2011 (UTC)
- Hurricane Katrina (1967)
- Probably too far back, although it'd be a nice April Fools TFA if we had enough info. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 18:27, 22 July 2011 (UTC)
- There is quite a bit of info, this was a significant system. YE Pacific Hurricane
- Significant system, should have an article. Titoxd(?!? - cool stuff) 04:29, 8 August 2011 (UTC)
- Hurricane Irah (1973)
- Tropical Storm Gilma (1988) - hit Hawaii as a tropical depression
- CPHC doesn't have much. --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 20:55, 22 July 2011 (UTC)
There is also the 1931 Santa Rosalía hurricane, which killed over 100 people per [1], although it might be too early to do effectively. Miss Madeline | Talk to Madeline 19:27, 22 July 2011 (UTC)
- Yea, I remember seeing that on the project request page, and I'm precisely worried about the time period. Then again, this had no problem finding information, although I do feel that Atlantic-side Mexican storms have more info. --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 20:55, 22 July 2011 (UTC)
- Here are a few others
- Hurricane Trudy (1990)-powerful storms but did not do much to land
- Again, lots of October storms become powerful but fail to affect land signicantly. Miss Madeline | Talk to Madeline 20:38, 8 August 2011 (UTC)
- I don't see any harm with this getting an article. Yes if it is high-quality. 04:08, 26 August 2011 (UTC)
- Again, lots of October storms become powerful but fail to affect land signicantly. Miss Madeline | Talk to Madeline 20:38, 8 August 2011 (UTC)
- Tropical Storm Miriam (2000) - another recent landfalling storm without an article
- (Typo fixed in article link. Miss Madeline | Talk to Madeline 20:38, 8 August 2011 (UTC))
- Hurricane Lane (2000)-use to have an article, took an interesting track
- A loop is too little to warrant an article. Miss Madeline | Talk to Madeline 20:38, 8 August 2011 (UTC)
- Tropical Storm Rosa (2000)-rare Central America impacting storms
YE Pacific Hurricane 17:28, 4 August 2011 (UTC)
- Lots of storms are powerful without doing much impact to land. For these reasons, no. Miss Madeline | Talk to Madeline 20:38, 8 August 2011 (UTC)
And here are a few more:
- Tropical Storm Jennifer-Katherine (1963)-directly hit S CA
- Hurricane Alma (1990)-rare off-season storm, but had no affect on land
- Only if Off-Season Pacific hurricanes becomes a potential GT/FT; otherwise, no. It was just a pretty generic Epac storm that just happened to be the earliest ever. Miss Madeline | Talk to Madeline 20:38, 8 August 2011 (UTC)
- Hurricane Hernan (1990)-powerful storms but did not do much to land
- No. Lots of storms are EPac and don't do much. Miss Madeline | Talk to Madeline 20:38, 8 August 2011 (UTC)
- Tropical Storm Hilda (1991)-minor flooding in CA, a lot of Google hits for a storm in this time period.
- Hurricane Flossie (2001)-see above
- Tropical Storm Boris (2002)-some damage to MX
- Tropical Storm Iselle (2002)-heavy rain to MX

- There is a Draft:Typhoons in Zhejiang. However, after discussing with other project members, I believe China should be handled as a whole on a year to year basis, with splits by date, such as 2000-present. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 14:29, 4 October 2020 (UTC)

- Typhoons in the Marianas Islands (Guam and Northern Marianas Islands are so close to each other, most storms that affect Guam will also affect CNMI)
- Typhoons in Micronesia (including Federated States of Micronesia, Palau, Kiribati, and Marshall Islands, but not Guam or Northern Marianas islands - see above)
- Typhoons in Taiwan
- List of typhoons in the Philippines (Pre–1963)
- Typhoons in the Russian Far East
- List of Typhoon names and Replacement Choices - draft - can list a retired name (EX: Haima), and show the provided names (EX for Haima: Mulan, Fengling and Tianma). It can be listed starting from Washi, as that was the first storm to have its replacement choices released. Hato; Hakucho; Kujaku. There it will list the meanings too. We could provide a timeline showing the retired storms from that year.
- Storms
- Tropical Storm Maria (2000) - 72 deaths and $317 million in damage
- Tropical Storm Hilda (1999) - the third significant tropical cyclone to affect the Malaysian state of Sabah, following Vamei and Greg.
- Typhoon Rex (1998) - an erratic typhoon that needs its own article due to the long-lived state of the system. Killed 13 and caused moderate damage.
- Tropical Storm Levi (1997) - killed 53 in the Philippines. Possibly more than that.
- Tropical Storm Victor (1997) - killed 65 people (more than that, probably), and caused an estimated amount of $241 million worth of damages.
- Typhoon Amber (1997) - caused $52 million, possibly caused deaths
- Tropical Storm Frankie (1996) - caused 104 fatalities (more than that, probably) and caused $200 million worth of damages
- Tropical Storm Marty (1996) - caused 125 fatalities, 104 missing
- Tropical Depression 35W (1996) - caused 60 fatalities, $138 million in damage
- From Hilda to 35W, these are the storms in my mind that need their own article.LowercaseGuy chow! 07:58, 21 April 2021 (UTC)
- Typhoon Connie (1945) - U.S. military impact, importance
- Typhoon Doris (1953) - impact on Hurricane Hunters?
- Maria is the last Hurricanehink suggestion, while Connie and Doris had their marks on U.S. military history. MarioJump83! 06:15, 21 April 2021 (UTC)
- These two are the last redirects that was touched by LTA Sidowpknbkhihj I believe could be turned into article. The next three, Eve (1999), Atsani (2015), and Nock-ten (2004) aren't really distinct. MarioJump83! 06:15, 21 April 2021 (UTC)
- Typhoon Helen (1958)
- Typhoon Wilda (1964)
- Typhoon Jean (1965)
- Typhoon Trix (1971)
- Typhoon Shirley (1965)
- Typhoon Trix (1965)
- Typhoon Virginia (1965)
- Typhoon Babs (1956)
- @Hurricanehink:, @Destroyeraa: I think the creation of these articles, even if they are stubs, could help to deny Sidowpknbkhihj socks from keep adding their versions of these topics into Wikipedia. Main MO of Sidowpknbkhihj socks are to translate their creations from Japanese Wikipedia into English Wikipedia (and their creations are generally typhoons that affected Japan) - and once they do, they won't expand these articles at all. Sometimes, these articles disregard WP:MOS, which led me to clean up some of these articles. If we create them and actually expand these creations, that can help denying them of their work. SMB99thx my edits 04:46, 4 October 2020 (UTC)
- I agree most of these are doable articles, but we should aim for more than stubs to make them. Ideally they will have more content than what's in the season article (which should be easy, since most WPAC seasons are stubs). ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 14:29, 4 October 2020 (UTC)
- @Hurricanehink:, thanks! Currently, i'm doing a project based on my preferences and your suggestion. SMB99thx my edits 13:47, 7 October 2020 (UTC)
