    Goals[edit]

    This task force would attempt to deal with these subjects by trying to bring together good editors familiar with a variety of religions who could try to create guidelines for articles relating to several religions and resolve disputes relating to such content in these articles, in a fair, non-POV, accurate way.

    Scope[edit]

    The scope of this group includes all articles which involve significant content relating to disparate religious traditions. These include, but are not limited to the articles in Category:Interfaith dialogue. Also, any articles which are found to qualify for the attention of this group should be added to the category or one of its subcategories.

    Activity[edit]

    The purpose of this project is two-fold.

    • (1) It shall work to improve articles which explicitly lie within its purview- that being articles which deal with several religious traditions- by working to create missing articles, and improve and maintain existing articles.
    • (2) There are (and will continue to be) questions raised regarding, for instance, an article related to Islam which has some content explicitly related to Christianity. In this instance, it might be beneficial to have someone who is perhaps better informed of the minutiae of Christianity to review that content to see if it is accurate and NPOV. To assist with this, we are asking all interested parties to indicate their own areas of expertise or knowledge, so that we will be more easily capable of bringing in informed editors to review this specific material.

    Forgive me if this is in the wrong place, I do not know my way around Wikipedia and its protocols at all. I am alerting you to the fact that an article of interest to you (and you are marked as this article being relevant to you) is currently being debated for removal/merging. It is being argued (I believe wrongly) that the article is irrelevant and has no place in having its own page, so I do think someone from your group should keep an eye on the discussion on the talk page. They already merged the article today into another article without any discussion but I managed to get an admin to move it back again. Conversation has now started on the talk page and I think it is definitely something you will want to keep an eye on. And I'm also an undergraduate Philosophy student. So, lots of ways to contribute right there. :-)

Wikidas 16:16, Friday June 2 2023 (UTC) - I'm interested in personalism in all religious expressions and contexts, in particular in connections between original traditions in relation to bridal mysticism, theory of compassion and non-violence. Have some knowledge of ancient Sanskrit texts. I practice daily prayer and mantra meditation.

User:Eclectic Angel 16:16, Friday June 2 2023 (UTC) - I have knowledge in the Abrahamic Religions, Dharmic Religions, Neopagan and Pagan Reconstructionist religions, Zoroastrianism, and the East Asian religions. Since I am Eclectic, I have plenty of knowledge with each, spanning 27 world religions. Other religions that are not part of my Eclectic beliefs, though I do have knowledge in them, include the Native American Church, some Aboriginalism, Shamanism, and Voodoo.

I have pretty decent knowledge of the Abrahamic faiths and I wrote my thesis about science, religion, and law. I have particular knowledge in the areas of Roman Catholic and Jewish history and doctrine, as well as the interactions between Protestant Christian denominations and the United States government, with a specific focus on science and education policy.
