Template:WikiProject Food and drink/doc

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Usage[edit]

This page documents the combined WikiProject Food and Drink banner templates. By unifying the various food and drink related projects under a single banner, it:

  1. Leaves the talk pages less cluttered
  2. Simplifies the classification and rating systems, allowing a single editor to classify an article for multiple projects.

For a complete guide to article assessment for this project, please see the assessment page.

Project support[edit]

The banner currently supports the following projects:

Currently, class is inherited from the WP Food assessments for the article. Importance is also inherited from the WP Food assessments. The banner can be modified to allow separate project-specific class and importance assessments, if needed. If anyone wishes to add another related project, please request it on the talk page.

All banners use the {{WikiProject Food and drink}} tag. Please format the tag as follows:

Examples[edit]

Generic food related articles[edit]

Just add {{WikiProject Food and drink}} to the top of the talk page of any food and drink related article. This is the parent project's banner, for all food and drink related sub-projects and task forces; however, for drink or beverage related articles, please add the |drink=yes parameter.

Generic drink or beverage related articles[edit]

Just add {{WikiProject Food and drink|drink=yes}} to the top of the talk page of any drink or beverage related article.

Associated task forces and projects[edit]

Just add the following project banner template to the top of the talk page of any task force or associated project related article, with a yes for the relevant task force or project parameter, as follows:

{{WikiProject Food and drink
 |class =
 |importance =
 |bar = yes
