Adding a new AfD discussion

Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:

Edit this page and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|Poetry|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.

Note that there are a few scripts and tools that can make this easier.

Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.

Delete (nominator) All independent coverage is very minor and focussed on some area of research, I could not find enough coverage that is both significant and independent. The subject is not notable, WP:REFBOMB with sources written by the subject or the company he works for, 95% of the sources emanated from JoyNews where he works. As seen [here] and [here, ]. There are even cases where the sources directly came from the subject as seen [here]. Anuradha Bhattacharyya[edit]

Main claim to fame in lede appears to be winning an Chandigarh Sahitya Akademi, but that's not supported by the refs (one ref just mentions that she was selected to give away the award), and her name is not mentioned anywhere here (in the English or Hindi sections, at least). I don't see WP:SIGCOV and any other reliable sources in the article, just bibiographies and mentions. Was deleted previously by AfD and quickly recreated by the original author soon after. Research of Shahnameh[edit]

Reviewed during NPP. No indication of wp:notability of the "Research of" topic. I would have merged it into the Shahnameh article but the only content appears to be some rather vague essay-like wiki-editor created text plus a quote that is not really about the topic of the article. Comment I think a better title would be “Shahname studies”. Just as Shakespeare studies is a recognised field of scholarship in the anglosphere, Shahname studies is a recognised field in Iran. Sourcing is likely to exist in Farsi, but without someone adding that (and ideally a bit more detail to the content) it’s hard to make a case for keeping. Delete -- the Journal de Poesia biography looked like it might be independent evidence of notability, but the Journal seems more a directory of every Brazillian poet with thousands listed (the "A" list is over 400 long), so not particularly selective or confiring of notability.
