Editors who wish to become sockpuppet investigations clerks undergo training to equip them with the skills and experience they need to become effective clerks.

During training prospective clerks review prior cases to review and explain why certain actions were taken. They explain their thinking in relation to the action and its relevance to policies, guidelines and procedures.

When there is a need, a subpage is created for the month the training begins. Current clerks and CheckUsers provide tasks and feedback for prospective clerks.
