LtPowers (talk · contribs) – Powers has been editing at Wikipedia since 6 January 2006, and by all means his contributions have been fully in line with policy and guidelines. His edits seem to be mostly in mainspace; fixing redirects, removing unsourced material, reverting vandalism or bad edits, and random other helpful edits. However, he is also frequently involved in disputes at WP:AN/I and other policy discussion–related pages. He seems to understand the policy and guidelines to an extent that is certainly worthy of adminship. On a second note, I've recently worked with him at Talk:Spring Holiday, and although I must admit that I disliked him at first because of some of his views about the article, I am glad to admit that we have put aside our differentiating opinions and he may have even steered me toward being more NPOV in my editing and to be more courteous. He is a very nice user. I work closely with he and User:AYArktos at that talk page, and both seem to be very intelligent people. AYArktos is already an admin, so I hereby nominate LtPowers for a well–deserved adminship. — `CRAZY`(IN)`SANE` 17:18, 12 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Candidate, please indicate acceptance of the nomination here:
Regretfully, I must decline the nomination. It is difficult to express in words quite how I feel about being nominated, but "honored", although cliched, is reasonably close. Although I must admit to an intense curiosity over how the community at large would evaluate my suitability, and thus, being tempted to allow the process to proceed, I feel that to do so would be slightly misleading. Quite frankly, I really do not have the time necessary to devote to administrator responsibilities; were I granted administratorship, I would feel a responsibility to spend my limited Wikipedia time in admin duties rather than the semi-random and more relaxed contributions I make now.
I also do not feel that I have a strong enough grasp of Wikipedia policies, community, and culture. I still feel like a newbie at times, and I still find myself surprised from time to time at what exactly is and isn't allowed by certain policies and guidelines.
In conclusion, although I do not believe this is the right time for me to pursue administratorship, I give my heartfelt appreciation to CrazyInSane for nominating me, and I explicitly do not wish to deter any future attempts at nomination. If enough folks think it'd be a good idea to run, I may do so, and that time may come relatively quickly. But for now, I must decline.
