Ibrah m c Abd al-Maj d[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was keep. Given this has made it into print, it’s reasonable enough for us to forward anyone along. Courcelles (talk) 22:35, 19 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Not mentioned on target page, does not seem to be a plausible typo. Onel5969 TT me 16:12, 12 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This is a spelling used in the Encyclopedia of African Literature, by Simon Gikandi.
"Born in Alexandria, the Egyptian novelist and short story writer Ibrah m c Abd al-Maj d has published nine novels and four collections of short stories."
Its an important source for african literatura, i created the redirection with the intention of facilitating discoverability for someone that comes from it JoaquimCebuano (talk) 18:00, 12 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Keep - it is probably a reference to this: [1] [2] Barnards.tar.gz (talk) 10:47, 13 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Lady apple[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was Procedural close. This is no longer a redirect. Courcelles (talk) 22:37, 19 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Procedurally nominating on behalf of Evedawn99, who blanked the redirect claiming There is nothing in the article that claims that people refer to Syzygium suborbiculare as "lady apple." "Lady apple" commonly refers to a different type of apple: the french Nome Api * Pppery * it has begun... 15:43, 12 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment – "Lady apple" is indeed used in reference to that species, and I have expanded the article with an additional source where it is used. However, a search in Google Books seems to show that the Api variety of apples is indeed the primary topic. Wikipedia doesn't seem to have an article on Api apples (other than Api Etoile, which is a specific type of Api apples and doesn't seem like an appropriate target for the query), so there's nothing else that it could refer to. Randi Moth (talk) 16:32, 12 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep for now per Randi Moth's rationale above. Let's revisit this redirect once the Nome Api article is created. --Lenticel (talk) 00:57, 13 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Procedural close – Lady apple has been turned into an article on the cultivar by Evedawn99 while this discussion was ongoing, and so any further discussion regarding the article's current state no longer falls under the scope of RFD. Randi Moth (talk) 20:58, 13 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

ProJared[edit]

The result of the discussion was Speedy delete in accordance with WP:G7. (non-admin closure) Randi Moth (talk) 17:39, 12 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This redirect is not reasonable, as most people looking for ProJared here aren't looking for Game Shakers. My suggestion is delete until the Draft:ProJared is published. QuickQuokka [talkcontribs] 14:52, 12 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete seems reasonable – subject is only loosely associated with the TV comedy. In fact, the so-called "source" used at the article to "verify" his presence doesn't even name him – it just includes a picture. --IJBall (contribstalk) 15:33, 12 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Redirects for fictional characters in the Lego Bionicle franchise. After the AfDs for the character list and for the the toa race, it appears unlikely that Wikipedia will ever have any content about them. Of these, only Toa Nuva has a passing mention in the target article. Four of these (Krakua, Toa of Light, Toa types by year and Toa-Mahri) started out as articles in the early days of the encyclopedia, but they all got promptly redirected at the time. – Uanfala (talk) 13:46, 12 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Donation (in Canon Law)[edit]

The result of the discussion was keep. (non-admin closure) EpicPupper (talk) 21:51, 20 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The two capital letters make this redirect quite unhelpful. Veverve (talk) 12:22, 4 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment - This is the Catholic Encyclopedia title. Isn't there a practice that CE titles are good candidates for redirects as someone's likely to recreate it again at another time? Not particularly fussed otherwise. JASpencer (talk) 21:00, 4 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know if that's true, however, the all lowercase Donation (in canon law) exists; a quirk of Wikipedia is that if only the lowercase exists the uppercase will be treated as though it isn't capitalised. (eg. Fishing Gear does not exist, but if you try searching it instead of linking it you will get redirected via Fishing gear.) Unless I'm mistaken, even if this is deleted if someone were to search this it would take them where they want to go even if they used the caps so I'm not sure why they would want to recreate it. – Scyrme (talk) 22:45, 4 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Keep. This is a reasonable search term in light of its use in the Catholic Encyclopedia as the title for this subject. — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 04:11, 5 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Not mentioned in the target article. Apparently, this was a version of the SNES used in hotels. It seems like reliable sources don’t mention this obscure console either. Pizzaplayer219TalkContribs 15:09, 2 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

While KOFY-TV is owned by CNZ Communications (and this is mentioned in the article), it is not the company's only station (it's not even their only San Francisco station). The group does not appear to have a clear "flagship" station, so a redirect to any of their stations might seem misleading. WCQuidditch 03:34, 12 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Three-dimensional Euclidean space[edit]

The result of the discussion was no consensus. It remains unclear why this was brought to RfD; the page move linked in the nomination has been closed as not moved, so any argument about mirroring changes proposed there is moot. signed, Rosguill talk 21:28, 21 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please discuss at Talk:Euclidean_space#Requested_move_11_March_2023. fgnievinski (talk) 03:27, 12 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Keep I do not understand why you have nominated this redirect for discussion — even if the term Euclidean space tends to refer to the three-dimensional case, that does not warrant doing anything to this redirect because the latter article is about a construct in arbitrary dimensions, while the current target is closest to the name of the redirect. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 03:54, 13 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
In the discussion indicated above, I had proposed Euclidean space to be renamed as Euclidean n-space. Then Three-dimensional space would be renamed over the Three-dimensional Euclidean space redirect. fgnievinski (talk) 03:43, 21 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
