A redirect to a video game, originally created by User:DramenTech as an attempted link to a Facebook page. Not mentioned at the taget, and Google gives no indication that any such term exists.  Glenfarclas  (talk) 20:24, 20 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete: per nom. I've blocked the author for username/spam issues. Toddst1 (talk) 22:49, 20 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No source there is such a region, not even on the San Diego metropolitan area article. House1090 (talk) 00:29, 20 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep as it is a common occurrence in the United States to refer to the "(city name) metropolitan area" as "Greater (city name)". It is also often used to emphasize the region over the region within the city limits itself. B.Wind (talk) 01:43, 20 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Strong Keep standard way to call a metro area. 70.29.210.242 (talk) 03:43, 20 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep as a valid alternate name and a plausible search term for the topic. --Polaron | Talk 05:56, 20 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I think we need a source its called that, as it was needed for the San Bernardino area, it should be needed here too. House1090 (talk) 06:30, 20 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep as a very likely search term - the redirect has had 88 views so far this month, and got 97 last month. "Greater San Diego" gets 3,780,000 ghits, including 4,870 ghits from .gov domains, 3060 from .ca.gov, 361 from sandiego.gov and 116 from .mil. Thryduulf (talk) 11:20, 20 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep It is standard to refer to areas surrounding a major city Greater "City Name". All the above reasons support its keep. SoCal L.A. (talk) 23:59, 20 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep I now agree too per statements above. House1090 (talk) 01:52, 24 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

News cinema[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was keep. Jafeluv (talk) 14:19, 27 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion so that it shows as a redlink. Current redirect creates a loop as it is linked to in the article it redirects to, and is only used in one other page. The targeted article doesn't include much information about the subject. This subject could certainly have its own article. Alþykkr (talk) 00:07, 20 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep for now. The circular link has been removed, and I'm not sure why you'd want a redlink. If you think "news cinema" deserves its own article, write one.  Glenfarclas  (talk) 20:28, 20 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep as the person who eliminated the circular link. While "news cinema" is not widely used, the redirect can certainly be used until someone decides to overwrite it with an article for the (slightly) wider topic. In most eyes, the two topics are one and the same. B.Wind (talk) 01:48, 21 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. Seems a valid enough redirect. Grondemar 02:18, 24 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
