  • Keep (as PROD decliner, though it shouldn't really matter since PROD is not for redirects...) Assertions that this are a BLP issue are themselves disruptive WP:CRYBLP. It's useful, used, humorous, and no policy-based argument for its deletion has been advanced. No WP:R#DELETE apply, and WP:R#KEEP #5 applies at a minimum.   • Keep. Jeff attempted to add this redirect to the page's shortcut box (which already exceeded the coded limit of five), and I explained that "an unwieldy shortcut created as a joke should not listed." He apparently misunderstood this to mean that the shortcut shouldn't exist (and immediately requested its deletion).
    While it isn't suitable for inclusion in the shortcut box, it seems entirely harmless to me. The BLP policy is important, but applying it here is quite a stretch.     —David Levy 07:52, 11 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"Wikipedia:FOOTBALLPLAYERWHOSHALLNOTBENAMED" is an obscure meta-reference to that situation. Even if someone goes to the trouble of tracking down its origins, this would merely establish that Mr. Burress was ribbed in the past (the same information conveyed via that archived deletion debate). Keep in mind that he did not shoot himself in the foot, so unlike a redirect bearing his name, there is no direct connection to the individual. —David Levy 22:40, 11 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
