Gender Bender (X-files episode)Gender Bender (The X-Files)[edit]

The result of the debate was Kept. Redirects are cheap & this causes no harm. -- JLaTondre (talk) 23:36, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect is not used (no internal links) and poorly titled. It does not contain the correct show title, nor capitalization (The X-Files, not X-files). There are no other redirect pages for X-Files episodes with this title structure; the redirects are always titled (The X-Files episode). It is also worth mentioning there is already a redirect page for this episode with the correct title at Gender Bender (The X-Files episode) Derelk (talk) 18:09, 24 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Keep. While proposer makes valid, accurate points, not everybody knows the proper disambiguation of an X-Files episode a The X-Files episode. It is a likely search term as many articles omit the initial "The" in their titles. B.Wind (talk) 03:39, 26 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

For what it's worth, I just want to reiterate that out of 201 X-Files episodes, this is the ONLY one with a redirect page of this title format. The only likely search terms for this would be "gender bender" or "gender bender x-files" or something along those lines, and omission of "the" will still lead to correct results. It still seems wholly unnecessary and cluttered to keep this page that is serving no functional purpose. --Derelk (talk) 00:57, 27 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Update. Target article has been deleted as a copyvio. B.Wind (talk) 03:21, 28 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hm, no, this is wholly incorrect. Target article was deleted at my request for G6, to clean a copy-paste move. The target article now exists again following a proper Move. Derelk (talk) 06:12, 28 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I merely repeated what was stated in the deletion log: "deleted... as a copyvio." So the log must be "wholly incorrect," then. B.Wind (talk) 01:09, 29 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
This seems like a silly argument, but that is quite simply not what the log says at all. This is copied and pasted from the deletion log:

21:10, 27 March 2008 Discospinster (Talk | contribs) deleted "Gender Bender (The X-Files)" ‎ (G6: Housekeeping and routine (non-controversial) cleanup: db-copypaste|Gender Bender (X-files episode))

You can view it here. I requested it be deleted for G6, the log states it was deleted for G6, and it had nothing to do with a copyvio. I'm very confused as to why you're claiming otherwise. In any case, the target article currently exists, and my RfD request still stands. Derelk (talk) 05:24, 29 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
