The file is an image depicting drug trafficker Cheuk Mei Mei being searched by customs officers. As the article already used File:Cheuk Mei Mei.jpeg to depict her appearance, the file is rendered redundant (perhaps with some textual description on how she trafficked heroin), and should be deleted under WP:NFCC#3a. 廣九直通車 (talk) 03:04, 8 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree, its the only picture in existence of the actual crime she committed and adds context to the rest of the article as it shows the exact moment she was caught & started the chain of events that lead to her execution. By the above rational, the article on September 11 attacks should only contain one picture of the World Trade Center, which would not allow readers to have the full context of events. I respectfully ask that the image Cheuk Mei Mei.jpg not be deleted WorldTravleerAndPhotoTaker (talk) 08:17, 8 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Except we have plenty of free images depicting the impact for 9/11 on Commons: see c:Category:September 11 attacks at the World Trade Center, while for our case where we have no access to free images, we are required to minimize fair use file usages. The nominated file depicts how the heroin is smuggled on Cheuk Mei Mei, while the article mentioned 24 individual plastic bags [...] were discovered strapped to the thighs and lower legs of both of them. The text fully covers what the nominated file's depicts.廣九直通車 (talk) 05:08, 9 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

File:Airplane screenshot Haggerty Nielsen.jpg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Before My Ken (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

The screenshot is used in the Cast section of Airplane!. There is no critical commentary of the image itself in the article, it does nothing to increase the reader's understanding of the film and its exclusion is not detrimental to the understanding of the film, thereby failing WP:NFCC#8. Aspects (talk) 18:32, 8 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The photo depicts two of the primary stars of the film, as well as a representation of one of the physical jokes in the film, i.e. that the autopilot is a blow-up doll named "Otto". This is mentioned in the "Plot" section of the article.
Aspects continues their campaign to make Wikipedia less valuable and interesting to our readers by removing every image they can dream up a reason to delete. Their actions have actively harmed the encyclopedia for years. Beyond My Ken (talk) 02:52, 9 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Per WP:FILMNFI, the plot section describes the film and is not critical commentary of the image itself. Again, this user goes after nominators with personal attacks against WP:NPA and never addresses the fact that their files never have the critical commentary necessary to pass WP:NFCC. Decorative non-free image; fails NFCC#8. There is no presumption in favour of use of screenshots in articles about episodes in the same way there is (say) a presumption about the use of cover images in articles about albums. Josh Milburn (talk) 22:38, 8 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
