Although the author has released the photo under a free license, freedom of panorama in Japan does not include commercial use so this image is not sufficiently freely licensed for Wikipedia. See c:Commons:Copyright rules by territory/Japan#Freedom of panorama. Whpq (talk) 00:42, 12 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep — enwiki follows US law, unlike commons which (in theory) follows both US and local law. (t · c) buidhe 11:45, 14 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
    • Comment - The United States also does not have freedom of panorama for 3D art, so that still remains a problem applying US copyright. -- Whpq (talk) 14:13, 14 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. No freedom of panorama for 3D art in the United States, see the Commons explanation. Stuff made before 1978 may be exempt, depending on if the object had a copyright notice. However, this is a sculpture of an anime character that was not introduced until 1979, according to our article on the character, meaning the sculpture is almost certainly after 1978. Use of this image wouldn't be free in either Japan or the US. Hog Farm Bacon 14:26, 14 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned, page creation suggests this is a WP:MADEUP image the uploader drew during class. Delete per WP:NOTWEBHOST, of no encyclopedic use. Hog Farm Bacon 04:26, 12 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure exactly what this orphaned image is supposed to represent, although it may be a LEGO slavery reinaction. It's a white LEGO figure with a whip standing next to brown LEGO figures doing what appears to be agricultural work with the text "OWNED" in one corner. We don't need this. The PD-own-work copyright is invalid. As "funnyjunk.com" is imprinted in the lower right corner, it's obvious the uploader isn't the license holder. Hog Farm Bacon 04:37, 12 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Very similar to standard cover, fails WP:NFCC#8. ―Justin (koavf)TCM 07:15, 12 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

One is the cover for the CD, and the other is the cover for the LP. So, that's different than the Zeitgeist covers. And, far from being virtually identical, they look quite different from each other. Mudwater (Talk) 10:43, 16 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - The covers are sufficiently similar that the purpose of visual identification can be served with just the one cover. Fails WP:NFCC#3a. -- Whpq (talk) 12:51, 16 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Photo recently deleted as copyvio on commons and then uploaded here. MB 20:35, 12 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • @MB: Is there a deletion discussion at Commons you can link to? The source of the image doesn't have license for the image I don't think, and it's too recent for the PD-old. It seems like the exact licensing would depend on date of publication and if there was a copyright notice, which I am unsure of. Hog Farm Bacon 20:43, 12 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
[1] is the deletion. MB 20:53, 12 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete Not obviously PD, since it postdates 1925. Likely would fail NFCC if converted to fair use. When in doubt, throw it out to avoid copyright violations. Hog Farm Bacon 03:01, 20 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete Don't know about the deletion discussion, but there is no sign of release under the license used at the source (which actually has a copyright notice) and the date is apparently the date of the engine's creation instead of the image's.  ★  Bigr Tex 02:49, 20 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
