The result of the discussion was: remove from List of Canadian flags. — ξxplicit 05:26, 1 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

File:St. John's, NL flag.gif (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by RingtailedFox (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

Non-free file being used in List of Canadian flags and St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. File has a non-free use rationale for each, but the usage in the list article is clearly decorative and does not satisfy WP:NFCC#8 (WP:NFLISTS/WP:NFTABLES). I don't see any way that a valid non-free use rationale can be written for a single entry in a list of various flags so I suggest remove from "List of Canadian Flags". File may be linked to if desired, but there are no flags listed for other cities in the same table, so not sure if that's consistent. Not sure about the file's usage in "St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador". It's being used in the main infobox, but I am wondering if it would be possible to recreate a free version of this using freely licensed elements to serve the same purpose per WP:NFCC#1 since the flag look only to be a coat-of-arms on a white background. -- Marchjuly (talk) 02:09, 29 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free poster art being used in All India Youth Federation. File has a non-free use rationale, but the context required by WP:NFCC#8 is lacking since the poster itself is not the subject of any sourced discussion within the article (the event it is not even mentioned). Usage appears to be purely decorative which is not allowed by WP:NFCC, so I suggest delete. -- Marchjuly (talk) 04:32, 29 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: keep in Ruskin Square, remove all other instances. — ξxplicit 05:26, 1 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

File:Arena home.jpg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Pafcool2 (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

Non-free artist's rendition of a proposed building which apparently was never built. File is currently being used in Croydon Expo, List of tallest buildings and structures in Croydon, and Ruskin Square. File has a non-free use rationale for each usage, but only the one for "Ruskin Square" seems close to satisfying WP:NFCC. Usage in the list article is purely decorative and does not satisfy WP:NFCC#8 (WP:NFLISTS) since the proposed building itself is not even mentioned, yet alone the subject of any sourced discussion. Same for the usage in the "Croydon Expo" article since the context required by NFCC#8 is not there. The building is discussed in Ruskin Square#The Failed Arrowcroft / London Borough of Croydon Scheme so I could see how the image could improve the reader's understanding to the degree that removing it would be detrimental, but the discussion is unsourced so it could be considered WP:OR. I suggest remove for "Croydon Expo" and "List of tallest buildings and structures in Croydon" and keep for "Ruskin Square", but the non-free use justification would for said ussage would be stronger if supporting sources can be found and added to the article. -- Marchjuly (talk) 04:52, 29 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free cover art being used in Army Daze. File has a non-free use rationale, but the context required by WP:NFCC#8 is lacking. The poster itself is not the subject of any sourced discussion within the article and seeing it not necessary for the reader to understand the sentence "Army Daze is a 1996 Singaporean comedy movie based on the 1987 theatre play". Suggest delete since this type of decorative usage is not allowed per WP:NFCC. -- Marchjuly (talk) 05:07, 29 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free poster art being used in Auntie Mame#Adaptations. File has a non-free use rationale, but the context required by WP:NFCC#8 is lacking. The article is about the novel, not the Broadway play and poster itself is not the subject of any sourced commentary within the article; moreover, nothing in the short paragraph written about the play requires that the poster art be seen. There's no reason to use this non-free image here any more than there would be to use File:MameFilmPoster.jpg or File:MamePoster.jpg respectively for the film or musical adaptations of the same novel. Suggest delete. -- Marchjuly (talk) 05:19, 29 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Replaced by File:Vocativ logo.png. This may not actually be an orphaned non-free file, though, because I think it might be below c:COM:TOO. However, it is now obsolete. Suggest deletion unless there is a historical reason to retain it in the article, and it qualifies for conversion to a {{PD-logo}}. Nick—Contact/Contribs 17:49, 29 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This is an old non-free logo of the league which is being used without any explanation as to how it would enhance the understanding of the article topic. That is, it probably violates WP:NFCC#8 and such old logos have been deleted repeatedly in the past. Also, note that a Commons file with the same name is being shadowed. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk, contributions) 19:03, 29 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Yeah, you're right. Deleting logos that were literally just changed in the last couple months and which were previously used for many years as the identifying mark of the league really helps make Wikipedia a better encyclopedia. Resolute 19:41, 29 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment: I have renamed the nomimated file from File:CFL Logo.svg to File:CFL Logo (2009).svg per WP:FNC#9. In effect, I have also renamed this section. Steel1943 (talk) 20:43, 29 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. Fails WP:NFCC#8 where placed since the section does not describe the logo in detail. Steel1943 (talk) 20:43, 29 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: Removed from Ischiopagi. Confirmed that other image in article is free; no explanation of why an additional nonfree image would be needed. Calliopejen1 (talk) 23:16, 12 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

File:Lakshmi Tatma.jpg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Hitsview (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

This should be removed from Ischiopagi since it fails WP:NFCC#1 there. Since the subject of the article is a still-occurring condition, the example with Lakshmi Tatma cannot be the only instance of this. Steel1943 (talk) 21:22, 29 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • It's a very rare condition and most babies don't live for long, or are separated. I don't know if I would assume here that a replacement can reasonably be found or made - second opinions needed.Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk, contributions) 21:29, 29 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
