Non-free image that does not satisfy WP:NFCC#8: Used only decoratively; not commented upon; not critical to understanding the article. Fleet Command (talk) 10:01, 28 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Looks replaceable to me: it should be possible to create a free map which doesn't show the border. See WP:NFC#UUI §4. Stefan2 (talk) 11:19, 28 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The rationale disputing the replaceability is
The map is used to illustrate the fact that SADC issues maps showing no border in Lake Malawi because of the border dispute discussed in the article. Therefore for a user to recreate an equivalent map would not illustrate SADC's position on the dispute. So there is no free equivalent. Which I guess means if it's not acceptable delete it rather than replacing it?
I don't think seeing the map with no border adds significant value to the article, and the relevant detail is only a tiny area that's hard to notice. The useful map IMO would be one with the border, and highlighting it to help clarify "this is the disputed line". And we have File:Malawi-Tanzania_border_dispute.png that I think meets that need. The result of the discussion was: Keep - appears to be agreement that the soundtrack is notable and that the criteria of NFCC are met. Nthep (talk) 14:06, 21 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

See MOS:FILM#Soundtrack and WP:NFCC#8. Stefan2 (talk) 14:39, 28 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Then why is this soundtrack image still being used in Sholay (a FA)? I want my image to have the same treatment. ---- Kailash29792 (talk) 15:58, 28 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
It mainly depends on whether the soundtrack is notable or whether there is critical discussion about what the soundtrack cover looks like. --Stefan2 (talk) 23:39, 28 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
@Stefan2, The soul of the film Moodu Pani lies in its soundtrack. The soundtrack cover shows a scene from the film's most iconic song - a dream scene in which the "hero" has the perfect life with the woman he loves, one of the most crucial aspects of the storyline. So I feel the iconic image should stay. Due to the limited information on the soundtrack, I am unable to create a separate article for it, but will do so if it means to save the image from deletion. ---- Kailash29792 (talk) 02:08, 29 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
In that case, it sounds as if the soundtrack is notable, or at least that a lot can be written about it. Now I also note that there is some discussion about the cover artwork in the soundtrack section, which is typically sufficient to keep a non-free image. --Stefan2 (talk) 00:27, 9 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
