Question[edit]

Please guide me how will I insert citation. Secondly, I want to ask you if there is no reference available for citation then how will I make edits. Kohat is a wonderuful district and city and a potential tourist spot. I want to make necessary information available to all those who search about Kohat. Regards, M Bilal — Preceding unsigned comment added by MOHAMMAD BILAL PARACHA (talkcontribs) 03:21, 11 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Dear MOHAMMAD BILAL PARACHA, Please see Wikipedia:Citing sources. Any type of reference, so long as it is a reliable source, is acceptable, be it a web page or an offline or print source - a journal or newspaper article, or a book, for instance. Please let me know if you have any further questions. Best, Zingarese talk · contribs 03:29, 11 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please participate to the talk pages consultation[edit]

Hello

Our team at the Wikimedia Foundation is working on a project to improve the ease-of-use and productivity of wiki talk pages. As a Teahouse host, I can imagine you’ve run into challenges explaining talk pages to first-time participants.

We want all contributors to be able to talk to each other on the wikis – to ask questions, to resolve differences, to organize projects and to make decisions. Communication is essential for the depth and quality of our content, and the health of our communities. We're currently leading a global consultation on how to improve talk pages, and we're looking for people that can report on their experiences using (or helping other people to use) wiki talk pages. We'd like to invite you to participate in the consultation, and invite new users to join too.

We thank you in advance for your participation and your help.

DYK for Arianna String Quartet[edit]

On 16 March 2019, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Arianna String Quartet, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the Arianna String Quartet was praised by the Chicago Tribune as making music "with the tonal warmth, fastidious balance, and heightened communication skills of groups many years its senior"? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Arianna String Quartet. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Arianna String Quartet), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Floss weekly edit[edit]

Hi, thanks for your edit to the List of FLOSS Weekly episodes article. I understand your point on removing opinions from articles. I have therefore removed my edit. However, I also reverted your edit, because you seem to have removed weeks of contents that is correct for the article. Please take care when editing.

Dear @Jalansari: Thank you for your message; it was a mistake on my part, as my intention was to undo only that edit. I am sorry for the inconvenience caused. Zingarese talk · contribs 17:12, 16 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Usage of comments within an article[edit]

Hi, the comments at Volvo Engine Architecture are not meant to be used for discussing anything. Instead they help other editors (at least I hope so) to understand why some sections have conflicting information or why specific styles/terms are used.
It can be incredibly frustrating when the manufacturer changes things without any explanation or doesn't stick to their own conventions. An editor not familiar with the details might not know why one has to do counterintuitive edits. For example consolidating all entries for the B3154T, which would be a completely understandable proposal, musn't be done or important details are lost. The secondary engine codes in brackets show that these are all different engines. Hope this clears it up and maybe you can undo the removal? New page reviewer granted[edit]

Hi Zingarese. Your account has been added to the "New page reviewers" user group. This user group allows you to review new pages through the Curation system and mark them as patrolled, tag them for maintenance issues, or nominate them for deletion. The list of articles awaiting review is located at the New Pages Feed. New page reviewing is vital to maintaining the integrity of the encylopedia. If you have not already done so, you must read the tutorial at New Pages Review, the linked guides and essays, and fully understand the deletion policy. If you need any help or want to discuss the process, you are welcome to use the new page reviewer talk page. In addition, please remember:

  • Be nice to new editors. They are usually not aware that they are doing anything wrong. Do make use of the message feature when tagging pages for maintenance. so that they are aware.
  • You will frequently be asked by users to explain why their page is being deleted. Please be formal and polite in your approach to them – even if they are not.
  • If you are not sure what to do with a page, don't review it – just leave it for another reviewer.
  • Accuracy is more important than speed. Take your time to patrol each page. Use the message feature to communicate with article creators and offer advice as much as possible.

The reviewer right does not change your status or how you can edit articles. If you no longer want this user right, you also may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. In cases of abuse or persistent inaccuracy of reviewing, or long-term inactivity, the right may be withdrawn at administrator discretion. ~ Amory (utc) 10:59, 20 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Amorymeltzer, thank you very much! I’ve read the tutorial and have a full understanding of the deletion policy. I will be sure to write to you or on the new page reviewer talk page with any questions. Sincerely,Zingarese talk · contribs 14:26, 20 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Explanation[edit]

Hello User:Zingarese. I'm User:AR.Dmg. I'm extremely sorry for hurting your sentiments or dishonest against Wikipedia policy. I just applied few statement from your line. I understood and understand what I did. And for what I'm applying for the permission. I wrote:- I have been a significant contributor to many Articles (including creating Good Article) which doesn't implies created good article. If my edit are against Wikipedia policy then I apply to the reviewing administrator to block me from edit with your reference sir, AR.Dmg (talk) 03:41, 24 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Dear @AR.Dmg: My personal feelings are irrelevant; what I was trying to convey to you is that it's really disingenuous to masquerade another user's request as your own when applying for such an important permission as New Page Reviewer. How are you supposed to show understanding that you know how to appropriately use the tool if you do such a thing? And also please understand that the last thing I want to happen to you is to lose your editing privileges; what I want is for you to become a better editor. Please write to me with any further questions, comments, or concerns. Zingarese talk · contribs 04:05, 24 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hello @Zingarese: I got u what you want me to understand. I'm totally feeling bad for my mistake.I will definitely do justice with the right if given to me by the review administrator after looking all the pros and cons of my edit history and mistake through my edit and also with my fellow editor and Wikipedians. Attack by L1amw90[edit]

Good day. I saw on my Talk Page that you have reminded me not to "attack" user L1amw90 in his talk page.

Please be informed that I told him on his talk page that he has made an error and to leave the editing to those who usually do it: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:L1amw90&oldid=885129416

Then, he comes to my talk page using "shit" and all that. I have not used any derogatory curse words to anyone in Wikipedia.

"Instead of abusing me the way you did on my talk page, you could have just left me a nice message regarding the Raw Women's Champion.

You are not an admin, so don't come over to my talk page giving me shit.

She relinquished the title, so I added the vacant position in.

Don't like it? Simple, don't come on my talk page abusing me like that."

I would, instead, like you to know that he attacked me for not being able to take criticism.

And he has deleted the contents of his talk page, making the statement that "I attacked him" void.

If there is anything you can do to stop immature editors like L1amw90, please do the necessary actions. Thank you!
