Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of places of interest in Essex, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Adventure Island. Movie posters on list articles[edit]

I note you've been adding a very large number of movie posters to lists such as List of British films of 2013. These posters are non-free, and thus are subject to our non-free content policy and non-free guideline. Of particular note, these images are not acceptable for use on list articles such as this, per WP:NFLISTS. Please remove them. Thanks, --Hammersoft (talk) 17:45, 22 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

McCullin[edit]

Hi Willowandglass, I saw that you have added the precise date of release in the McCullin template, however, I couldn't find any source for this date. May you indicate me where you retrieved that information? Thanks. --Tanonero (msg) 13:20, 24 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Table[edit]

Hello, I added the month of April and two relevant titles to the table of List of Italian films of 2014, could you fix the colors? I tried with no success, while I am sure you can fix it in a minute or so! Thanks in advance, Cavarrone 06:38, 5 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the attempt, but April still looks the same of May! It would be possible to recreate the rotation between orange, purple and green? otherwise, if it is too complicate, an alternative could be to use purple for all the months. --Cavarrone 07:55, 6 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, it is a correct way to communicate! otherwise, you can responding in your own talk page, using the template:Reply to to have me advised or just posting in my talk page the template:Talkback. Thank you very much for the table, now it is perfect! My best, Cavarrone 16:30, 6 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Removing red links[edit]

Hi, please don't remove red links just because they are red. In cases like this, an article about Frédéric Auburtin already exists in four different languages, and if you look at the French article he is clearly notable. In fact, having red links in the encyclopedia is one thing that leads readers to become editors (see Wikipedia:Red link), so there's no need to remove them. The only times red links should be removed is when a subject is clearly not notable, which doesn't seem to be the case in many of your removals. Proposed deletion of List of films considered the best (by year)[edit]

The article List of films considered the best (by year) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The article has no talk page, the article is an orphan, this list of "superlatives" uses Rotten Tomatoes as a guide, which is in no way objective. The films listed don't seem to have an international consideration. The awards listed do not reference any film festival awards (Cannes/Berlin/Venice). Box office is also not an indication of "best" film.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. — Andy W. (talk · contrib) 18:30, 1 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I followed up on the talk page, but if I'm going to help out a bit, I also wanted to alert you to some articles you may want to consider (in no particular order).
The list honestly goes on and on, but your article may want to consider at least some of the above. — Andy W. (talk · contrib) 21:14, 1 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Hector (2015 film) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from filmaffinity.com/en/film123883.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. -©2016 Compassionate727(Talk)(Contributions) 15:30, 8 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia pages must be moved using the move feature, not via cut 'n' paste[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Hector (film) a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Hector (1987 film). This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 02:26, 9 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia and copyright[edit]

Control copyright icon Hello Willowandglass, and welcome to Wikipedia. All or some of your addition(s) to Hector (2015 film) has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 02:26, 9 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Name to be cautious of[edit]

I had to remove a name from the article List of British films of 2014, namely that of Paul T.T. Easter. You had no way of knowing this when you created it, but this person has become infamous on Wikipedia for creating hundreds of sockpuppets in order to get himself on Wikipedia. His article has been deleted at AfD and at this point he's doing it mostly just to rile everyone up. You can see the history of this at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/SEFPRODUCTIONS and at Wikipedia:Long-term abuse/SEFPRODUCTIONS. It's gotten so bad that when I first saw this I was certain that it was done by another sockpuppet of his. It looks like this is not the case, but that's how bad it's gotten on here, as any time we see the name posted it always ended up being done by a sockpuppet.

Anywho, just letting you know so you can avoid adding his name to Wikipedia in the future, although most common versions of his name are now blacklisted from being created or added to an article. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 08:09, 10 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
