TLCU[edit]

Um, what was the point of your edit on that talkpage? Even ignoring the flaws in your reasoning, you were adding a comment to a request that ended 2 months ago (and ignoring the warning to not edit the section). TJ Spyke 17:40, 2 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, didn't check the date or see the warning - I just read the proposal and voted :s Tory88 (talk) 17:48, 2 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Judo belt rankings[edit]

Your entry to Talk:Judo is almost a year old, so I thought I'd answer here instead of that Talk page. Belt rankings vary significantly depending on the national organization. You see the US belt system in the article. In Germany you have white - yellow - green - blue - brown - black (DDK), or (more commonly) the DJK system that adds two-colored belts between white, yellow, orange, and green (e.g. yellow/orange). I've done training and randori with a couple of international students of Judo (Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, and Japan), but I cannot remember any "red belt". Mind you, my active times were the 80'ies and early 90'ies, so things may have changed. But I think it would be confusing to have beginner-level students and 9th/10th dan masters wear the same color. -- DevSolar (talk) 16:02, 8 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I think it is a relatively new introduction in the UK, and I'm not sure if it's spread from the BJA yet. Thanks for the response. Tory88 (talk) 18:56, 8 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
