"respectively"[edit]
For some reason, Germans often translate "bzw" (beziehungsweise) into English as "respectively", though this can be inappropriate in various contexts... AnonMoos (talk) 08:13, 7 May 2023 (UTC)
- hm, my dictionary renders beziehungsweise as "respectively, or, or else; relatively," none of which would have much sense there! but i guess i shouldn't take those translations too literally. —Tamfang (talk) 14:48, 7 May 2023 (UTC)
So, you know my brother Raven?[edit]
In the Current Middle Ages, I am Inali of Tanasi, herald without portfolio and Hordesman. In mundane life, I am an Esperantist and active SF fan (TAFF delegate for 2020). Perhaps we do know each other? (By the way, I have created a mode of Dwarven runes for the writing of Esperanto, which I call the Angerthas Zamenhof; it derives from the mode of Moria, in order to take advantage of a couple of extra runes only found there.) Do you have a copy of Jaroslav Klement's 1979 Heraldiko-Veksilologio-Terminaro en Esperanto? I fear it's long out of print. Orange Mike | Talk 01:42, 20 May 2023 (UTC)
