Disambiguation link notification for May 2[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Hyouka (TV series), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page CBR. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Recommendation[edit]

Just noticed your recent GA nomination. This is not GA but I would recommend using X (TV series) as a model. First of all per WP:Lead you shouldn't add citations to the lead unless you are posting something controversial. Episodes is kinda short so I'd suggest to combine it with prodcction. When it comes to reception, I'd also suggest to revise to make generalizations of each part of the series like:

  • Story
  • Animation
  • Music, casting

Among others. Good luck with the nomination. If you revise it and find it more fitting, I think it would be more GA worthy.Tintor2 (talk) 22:26, 5 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Tintor2: Thanks for the recommendations! I will get to that when I am free. Happy editing, --Takipoint123 (talk) 23:10, 5 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Tintor2: Hello Tintor2, I've recently noticed that you've been editing the article. First of all, I'd like to thank you for that! As for your suggestions for reception, I think I have a basic idea of what to do but it'll take me some time as I am a bit busy up to next week, if you're interested in that. Thanks! Takipoint123 (talk) 21:03, 7 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Just noticed there was a usage of capital letters and then decided to split it in case you wanted to divide it. Critical response is sometimes so I would suggest reading Wikipedia:Copyediting reception sections. If you want other examples to follow I would suggest checking the recent GA Samurai Champloo or Darker than Black.Tintor2 (talk) 21:06, 7 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Tintor2: Hello Tintor2, I edited the critical response section. I think its a bit better than before, but I don't feel very confident in it as it is my first time copyediting. Apologies in advance. Would it be possible if you can look over it? Thanks! Takipoint123 (talk) 06:42, 14 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Looks better. I'd suggest toning down the amount of quotes to them into paraphrases. The generelization from the section's intro does need reference which seems like a good way to tone down the "X said that" into generilzations. Sadly I'm the worst at copyediting since my first language is Spanish. If you are not confident about it I'd suggest requesting help from the WP:Guild of copyeditors. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 14:39, 14 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Tintor2: Hello, User:Takipoint123/sandbox I tried making quite a lot of generalizations this time which I was a bit scared to do yesterday. But before I get bold, could you look over my sandbox to see if its good enough to post? I will add the references for the final copy. Sorry if it bothers you, as its my first original attempt at a GA without translating.. Thanks! Takipoint123 (talk) 00:18, 15 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

That's quite an improvement. Nice work.Tintor2 (talk) 01:18, 15 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Tintor2: Thank you for your help with the article! Takipoint123 (talk) 01:25, 15 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I just nominated Darker than Black: Shikkoku no Hana to GA. Wanna exchange reviews?Tintor2 (talk) 22:23, 2 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Tintor2: I'd be more than happy to do so, but unfortunately I am a bit busy this week and possibly into the next week, if you are fine with that? Takipoint123 (talk) 05:00, 3 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Your GA nomination of Hyouka (TV series)[edit]

Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article Hyouka (TV series) you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of Tintor2 -- Tintor2 (talk) 19:01, 14 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Your GA nomination of Hyouka (TV series)[edit]

The article Hyouka (TV series) you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Hyouka (TV series) for comments about the article. Well done! If the article has not already appeared on the main page as a "Did you know" item, or as a bold link under "In the News" or in the "On This Day" prose section, you can nominate it within the next seven days to appear in DYK. Bolded names with dates listed at the bottom of the "On This Day" column do not affect DYK eligibility. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of Tintor2 -- Tintor2 (talk) 02:22, 16 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Hyouka (TV series)[edit]

On 28 June 2022, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Hyouka (TV series), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Takayama, Gifu distributed 10,000 maps featuring the real-life locations of the anime TV series Hyouka? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Hyouka (TV series). You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Hyouka (TV series)), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Congratulations, Takipoint123! The list you nominated, List of Hyouka episodes, has been promoted to featured status, recognizing it as one of the best lists on Wikipedia. The nomination discussion has been archived.
This is a rare accomplishment and you should be proud. If you would like, you may nominate it to appear on the Main page as Today's featured list. Keep up the great work! Cheers, PresN (talk) via FACBot (talk) 00:26, 15 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Congrats Taki. You did a really good job with the Hyouka articles.Tintor2 (talk) 00:34, 16 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Tintor2: Thank you! Hope to see you in other anime articles as well :) Takipoint123 (talk) 16:28, 16 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

For now my only interest is nominating Resident Evil: Damnation and improve Vinland Saga (manga) but still not sure how creating a character article works when the name from the latter is kinda common and Vinland Saga already has another meaning.Tintor2 (talk) 18:13, 16 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Translation request for Korean Wikipedia: WiTricity (와이트리시티)[edit]

Hello! On behalf of WiTricity and as part of my work at Beutler Ink, I've shared a draft entry for Korean Wikipedia, which is a translated version of the English Wikipedia article. I'm searching for an editor who speaks Korean and is willing to review this draft and update the entry appropriately. Might you be willing to take a look? Thanks for your consideration. Inkian Jason (talk) 18:51, 2 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Inkian Jason: Hello, thank you for reaching out. I don't know if I have a lot of time in recent days to review/create articles, and I'll let you know when I would be able to do it (no guarantees). Currently I can't give a definite answer so I would like to refer you to the Korean Wikipedia Embassy. I recommend reaching out to active users on their talk page, as the Embassy's talk page is usually not monitored actively.
To give general comments... As Ykhwong pointed out, machine translated submissions are generally not accepted, and at the very least requires a manual review of the machine translation's accuracy. A manual review is the bare minimum, and most likely a manual translation of the whole document by a proficient user is preferred.
Seeing that you are pointing out a work by Beutler Ink, I would also like to point that if you are receiving any financial reward for your contributions, you must make a Paid-contribution disclosure under Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use, if you have not done so already. Takipoint123 (talk) 05:52, 3 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for replying. I'll take a look at the Korean Wikipedia Embassy as you've suggested. The translation provided by WiTricity received a manual review, but of course editors may identify some ways to improve the text. I've added the paid-contribution disclosure template at English Wikipedia (Talk:WiTricity), but I'm struggling to use the equivalent template at Korean Wikipedia. If you wish to add on my behalf, I've been paid by Beutler Ink on behalf of WiTricity. While the translation may not be perfect, I'd like to think the draft is a significant improvement over the current entry, which is just a few sentences long. I hope you or another editor can take a look and implement the draft appropriately. In the meantime, I'll review the Embassy link you've shared. Thanks again! Inkian Jason (talk) 14:19, 3 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hello! I've responded to you at ko:사용자토론:Inkian Jason. I hope I've added the disclosure templates correctly. Please let me know if any changes to the templates (or draft) are needed, otherwise I look forward to hopefully seeing the article updated soon. Thanks again! Inkian Jason (talk) 18:33, 7 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I've reached out to three more editors via the Embassy link you shared. Inkian Jason (talk) 18:46, 14 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
