Hello, I'm happy to help with those articles. I'm not quite sure what you are looking for though. I see on the Nickelodeon (Denmark) page, that there's a line which reads "Nickelodeon signs-on at 5:00 AM with national anthem with flag, promo, block ident and programmes." Are you saying that you'd like that line to read something like "Nickelodeon signs-on at 5:00 am with the national anthem of Denmark "Der er et yndigt land" and Denmark's flag, promo, block ident and programmes." Is that what you're looking to do for Denmark's and the other country's Nickelodeon or Nick Jr. articles? Let me know what you are looking for and we can work to make those articles better. I've gone ahead and made the change on Nickelodeon (Denmark). Do you know what promo and block ident should link to? Also, based on the text there, it's not clear what is carried on that channel from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

I've also made the change on Nickelodeon (Montenegro). I note that on that article it says that the channel runs 24/7 in one place, but says 6:00 am to 6:00 pm in another. It also says "handover to RTCG from 6:00 am until 3:00 pm daily" - those times don't match with the other parts of the article. Do you know which parts are right?

Since you're editing as an IP address, I can't be sure, but it looks like you are reasonably good at Wiki markup. Why don't you make these changes yourself? Also, it would be nice to create an account so your history of edits accumulates and you can create an identity on Wikipedia. I'll work with you on the other changes in the future. Nickelodeon (Serbia), Nick Jr. (Kazakhstan), Nick Jr. (Russia) and Nick Jr. (Turkmenistan) are done. I also edited Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers.

Serbia has the problem with 24/7 in one place and 3:00 am to 6:00 pm in another. For the Turkmenistan article, do you know if the Türkmenbaşy refers to Saparmurat Niyazov or something else; it links to a disambiguation page now. On Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers, there was no link for MBC3, but there was one for MBC1, which I linked to MBC 1 (Middle East).

1st OG F-15

Just wanted to let you know (you may already) that your identification and correction of the caption for the image of the F-15 firing the AIM-7 was correct. Although the description of the original identifies the pilot as from the 71st FS, the squadron insignia on the intake and the yellow marking band at the top of the vertical stabilizer (which has a barely legible "27th" inscription) both identify the aircraft as a 27th FS bird. Thanks for the note - I'm glad I was right. The reason I noticed the text was because the F-15 was described as "... of 27st FS, 1st OG" and 27st is not a properly formatted ordinal. 27st was most likely an error for 21st or 27th and from the context of the article, it was clear that it was 27th. India's GDP per capita...

I had not noticed this inconsistency in IMF's database prior to reverting your edit. My suggestion is that we keep the old figure ($1,491) since all other values cited in the article are from India's specific country table and not from the country comparison table you referred to. OK with me. Because I'm curious, I also tried downloading the data file at IMF World Economic Outlook Database, October 2013 and sorted by GDP per capita. If I remove "Hong Kong SAR" as not a country, India comes out as 141st. I'm no economist so I don't know if that's a valid approach. Another editor has already added the text you proposed. I did some pretty extensive copy editing, mostly to adhere to WP:MOS and also remove some language that struck me as WP:PEACOCK and to clarify where it said she was a co-founder of Net-a-Porter. Some articles did describe her as a co-founder, but the more reliable articles made it clear that Net-a-Porter existed before she joined the board or became an investor. I also note that you wrote the first version of the article yourself. I don't know the ins and outs of Wikipedia:Conflict of interest, but I think your approach of adding material to the talk page as a proposal is better than editing the page yourself. Frank Richardson

Thank you for reading my article. I have not submitted this article at the time of writing. I am relatively new to Wikipedia and I understand you have read my document and made some changes. I wish to disagree with the suggestions. 1. The word Constables in this context need to have a capital C. It refers to the rank in the police force, as does Sergeant. These are always capitalized when referred to in an isolation. 2. Chief Constable also requires capitals on the first letter. This does refer to the rank, as before, but Chief Constable is a very high rank and the capitals reflect this. You would not, for instance, call Montgomery a field marshall but a Field Marshall. 3. I have been told by a previous reviewer not to write 6th in my article, but 6. Ordinals are not required-I suppose.

Several Wiki's are reviewing Frank Richardson as I write it, and alterations/suggestions have resulted. This helps me. I appreciate this but any changes have to be correct. TimothyWF (talk) 17:42, 31 October 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for your note. I assume you are talking about the article at Frank Richardson (policeman). That article was in the encyclopedia earlier today when I edited it, and based on this edit, it has been since early August, so I'm not sure what you mean by it not being submitted yet.

Capitalization in Wikipedia is described at Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Capital letters. The Wikipedia:Manual of Style is the style guide for articles in the encyclopedia and it has many sub-parts (there are a lot of rules and it's hard to know them all). The MoS says "most capitalization is for proper names or for acronyms", so the job titles you mentioned above would not be capitalized. Importance of a position is not the basis for capitalization, so indeed we would call Montgomery a field marshal, not a Field Marshal. If the title is being used as part of a name, it would be capitalized as in Field Marshal Montgomery though, just as we would refer to the lowest rank soldier as Private Jones.

If an earlier reviewer suggested "6 Century" instead of "6th century", I think they were wrong. The instructions on how to refer to centuries are at WP:CENTURY and distributed in other parts of the MoS.

The article is looking good and seems to be a real contribution to the encyclopedia. I'd be happy to provide further help if you'd like. SchreiberBike talk 18:11, 31 October 2013 (UTC)

Hi @TimothyWF:, Working on Wikipedia is complicated, but most of the people are friendly and willing to help. I think I've got the gallery in Frank Richardson (policeman) looking right. It's showing the four pictures now. The main difference between what you had and what I came up with is that in a gallery, the brackets ("[[" and "]]") aren't required.

Your work on the article is already in the regular part of Wikipedia and has been for a couple of months. After articles are part of the encyclopedia, anyone can edit them and many people continue to make them better. I'll take another look at the article soon and try to do some copy editing. I had no idea the Article for Creation was in fact created as I haven't submitted it yet but obviously it had and I am delighted. It probably explains why I was getting comments and alterations as I progressed writing the article which I hadn't had on a previous one. Disambiguation link fixing one-day contest

I have decided to put on a mini-contest within the November 2013 monthly disambiguation contest, on Saturday, November 23 (UTC). I will personally give a $20 Amazon.com gift card to the disambiguator who fixes the most links on that server-day (see the project page for details on scoring points). Since we are not geared up to do an automated count for that day, at 00:00, 23 November 2013 (UTC) (which is 7:00 PM on November 22, EST), I'll take a screenshot of the project page leaderboard. I will presume that anyone who is not already listed on the leaderboard has precisely nine edits. At 01:00, 24 November 2013 (UTC) (8:00 PM on November 23, EST), I'll take a screenshot of the leaderboard at that time (the extra hour is to give the board time to update), and I will determine from that who our winner is. I will credit links fixed by turning a WP:DABCONCEPT page into an article, but you'll have to let me know me that you did so. Here's to a fun contest. Ah, the old monochromes and their halos... I mostly worked with Color Graphics Adapters, which allowed me to use either a monochrome or a CRT color monitor, or even both (showing the same screen differently.) Then, there was the Hercules Graphics Card, which gave monochromes some interesting properties instead of colors, like bold, underline and strike-through, with better resolution. Some programs were actually made to remind people to take a break to avoid halos and the like, though I mostly found them too annoying to use, myself. Thanks for recognizing my name. Thanks and happy New Year to you too. When I came to the page, I noticed a mix of British and American spellings and there was no template indicating that a choice had already been made. I didn't do an exhaustive search, but it seemed like more were British, so I standardized on that. I don't usually look for the "-ized" words, first because Oxford spelling allows them, and second my spell checker doesn't flag them as errors. I'm not a very strong speller myself, so I'm dependent on the software.

Since your note came, I've looked for other Syria articles (Ministry of Defense (Syria), Syrian Air Defense Force and Syrian Scientific Studies and Research Center) and American spelling seems to be the norm. • Description of the choir

If only a link to SATB it needs explanation - the infobox has (should have) that, in prose we need to add it. A different solution might be to link to the section in the Bach cantata article.

• "German language" for the Alberta site, - that seems not precise as it's a US site, and not needed because where I use it I add "text", - and what language should the text be if not German?

• Magnificat. We sang one yesterday! One good reason for italics is that all foreign terms should be italic, per MoS. We (consistently) make an exception for songs in foreign languages because to have quotation and Italic seems overkill. I was taught that we don't use italics for Mass, Symphony, and wonder if Magnificat hasn't become one of these cases, - a common term of the English language. I'm never sure about Requiem. Hello, I was thinking the "(in German)" was appropriate for the links to University of Alberta like this one for BWV 89 because in addition to the text of the cantata being in German, the text at the bottom of the page is in German. For example, Anlass instead of "occasion", Entstehungszeit instead of "first performed", Oktober instead of "October", Diskussion instead of "discussion", etc.

• Page moves: The titles follow - as far as I know - the NBA. Source Bach cantatas is not a great source in that respect. Amtek Industries

Your PROD was removed at the eleventh hour by an IP, and I started to do the research to file an AfD, but I found enough to convince me to delete it WP:CSD#G3 blatant hoax. Chunks, including figures, were copied from Tata Group and Strabag. I did consider whether a worthy article had been vandalised but no, those problems were there in the version from the first author. Edits made to the Brymo article.

Thanks for removing the numerous spelling and grammar errors from the Brymo article. However, I want to rollback your edit in order to rollback the whole "Merchants, Dealers & Slaves - 2013" section. The section reads well but it was written in a promotional tone. Editors need to keep in mind that Wikipedia should not be use as a tool to promote artists, musicians, and bands. I contacted the editor who added the section; I specifically told the editor that the section needs to be rewritten. Hello @Tabnak:, thanks for your note. I happened to run into a bunch of the pages you created because of a typo "1th" that was copied to several pages. The articles seem to be about mountains which are part of the Hindu Kush range, but they also seem to be articles about the word Kush. As a reader, I found it hard to tell why all the material about the word was in articles about the mountains. I deleted some things which didn't seem to relate to the mountains. Wikipedia is a complicated place, and must be especially complicated if English is not your first language. I'd be happy to work with you to make some of those articles better. You are right that using a word like surgery three times in quick succession is not good writing, though they were each in separate sentences. I saw the phrase "under the knife" which seemed to me to be a cliché and euphemism and changed it to the more meaningful word surgery. Need help

Hi bro. I'm expecting some help from you. There's an edit warring going on by an user User:Shivamsetu on pages of Patna and Bihar. Earlier it was written Bihar is a north indian state but he changed it to east. I've some reliable source (like news clips from india's trusted media group like The hindu, India today, TOI for instance see [1], [2], [3], [4], [5], [6], [7], Thackeray trains guns at north Indian students in Pune/1/8849.html ) which openely says Bihar is a north indian state and also an Indian goverment site (Cultural zones of India) which puts Bihar in both the categories ie, North Central Indian Cultural Zone ([8]) and East Indian Cultural Zone ([9]) (this is the only source on which a wikipedia page North India is created). And that guy also has some proofs to put Bihar in east india (sources like same media group and bihar goverment sites and etc which says bihar an eastern indian state). So bro, i wanna say that isn't it possible to put and show Bihar as an eastern as well as northern Indian state likewise Indian goverment categorized it into these two groups?? I think it is possible because i've reliable source of information as reference for my claim and he also have so we both can put our points on wikipedia with our reference. And also, he always undo my edits when i put my claim, even i had a discussion with him but he seems to me like an arrogant and thinks that he's self sophisticated and self centred and like just he own these pages and only he could make edits and only his sources are reliable. Currently he's got that page blocked from editing with the help of some other users. So please you can do something about that? And also it feels to me and other peoples like denying our right to edit on wikipedia even when we've reliable source of information as to put as reference. Hello, I read your note above. I would suggest bringing this up at Talk:Patna or Talk:Bihar; the talk page of an article is the place to start a discussion about the article. I do note that the editor you mention above does not seem to have made repeated changes from north to east in either article recently. Since you do not have a user name, I can not tell which edits there are yours. I also note that Bihar is included in the East India region, and that in the North India article, it is described as being in that region by some standards but not by others. Hi @NED33:, Thanks for your note. I use this syntax highlighter which is available under Preferences/Gagets/Editing. I don't know how many other people use it, but I find it quite helpful and I suspect more people would use it if they knew about it.

One particularity of the highlighter is that it differentiates between a <br> and a <br/>, as it says in the documentation "To maximize performance, the highlighter is not forgiving of sloppy syntax. For example, make sure that if you start a <td> tag you end it with </td>, and use <br/> instead of <br>."

The <br> tag inserts a single line break.

The <br> tag is an empty tag which means that it has no end tag.

In HTML, the <br> tag has no end tag.

In XHTML, the <br> tag must be properly closed, like this: <br />.

Hi,

Point taken about photo credit italics. I looked it up and you were right.

However you removed all of the photo credits (for two dozen pictures) which wasn't necessary. So I reverted your edit and then I manually removed all of the italics, plus manually removing italics from that inline quote as well.

In the future, please leave a note in the talk page (or on my user page). If you are right about WP policy, then (usually, unless I am really busy) I will correct it in a timely manner.
