Use of OS view on English Wikipedia[edit]

Hi Roy. I was pretty surprised when I read that you had viewed the suppressed edit. In conversations with Legal, they have impressed upon me the concept that people should only have information covered by the ANPDP if they have a need for it based on their grant of the permission. Which would mean in this case means it would not be OK for an Ombud to view the suppressed edit outside of the need within the context of the Commission, which I'm guessing this was not. Admittedly this is written not so clearly in the actual ANPDP - yet another problem I see in the document and part of why I've been strongly urging a rewrite of that document - but I do think it is implicit in this section. This is all grey and my thinking could be out of line with the thinking of others, but I thought it important to note for your consideration.
