Speedy deletion nomination of International Men's History Month[edit]

Hello Rich Kutney,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged International Men's History Month for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

It is notable because I founded the concept. Please let it be. Rich Kutney (talk) 17:22, 15 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

How do I create this idea, is there a form I need to fill out and submit somewhere? I mean, how does an idea get started anyway? Rich Kutney (talk) 01:40, 16 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, International Men's History Month, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. ... discospinster talk 16:19, 15 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Can you move my article back from draft space? Because, this is a valid article because I am the person who has invented a month honoring all men. It doesn't exist anywhere else yet, but I made it exist and I'm hoping for more support because women have Women's History Month and men do not have a history month yet. So I started a Men's History Month to be fair.

____

International Men's History Month is intended to raise awareness of, celebrate, appreciate, and prevent prejudice against, men and their history.

Wikipedia is not for advocacy of your ideas, particularly something you just made up. How you should promote the concept is not my concern; I recommend using some other website. power~enwiki (π, ν) 01:49, 16 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I politely disagree with you. I will try to be a good citizen of Wikipedia. I'm 57 years old and I know it's not worth it to argue about things in life. So, I just hope that someone else will approve my drafts for International European Heritage Month and International Men's History Month. I'm not going to actively pursue making this draft active. Thank you for considering my idea anyway. Rich Kutney (talk) 02:10, 16 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You can believe what you want, but nobody is going to approve your drafts. If you want this explained to you nicely, visit the WP:TEAHOUSE. power~enwiki (π, ν) 02:13, 16 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know, @Power~enwiki: the guy is acting like a troll, he posted the same crap on my talk page! Govvy (talk) 13:03, 16 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry but I've had to draftify this, as it wasn't even close to being ready for main space. I was first going to propose deletion, then thought of redirecting it to the article on the show host, but in the end decided to move it to drafts in case you want to develop it further, add more sources, and generally demonstrate that the subject warrants inclusion in an encyclopaedia.
