Wikipedia redirects, {Authority control}

Does Wikidata now welcome people items for subjects of English Wikipedia redirects who are not covered by a Wikipedia article in any language? Heavy use of template {authority control} in my user space dates from my creation and curation of many EN.wiki Redirects from people, such as the first 200 Redirects to joint biographies. --P64 (talk) 19:22, 23 February 2023 (UTC)

... I see that you have done some work in this class recently, about the same time you wrote to me (linked above). For instance 2022-11-17:

What is the current status of this migration project?

Victor Appleton II is one instance. There I have now migrated to Wikidata all of the parameter values that I gathered at VIAF early today, Thursday here. So that EN.wiki redirect has been fixed.

I have created many people items at Wikidata. Now I know how to link EN.wiki redirects with badge: intentional sitelink to redirect, using the faint badge icon that appeared for me at Victor Appleton II early this hour. Thanks. Yes, Wikidata contains many notable people who do not yet have a Wikipedia article. And if an item does not yet exist, then you should please create it. The standard for inclusion is "refers to an instance of a clearly identifiable conceptual or material entity that can be described using serious and publicly available references." Obviously, any potential subject for a Wikipedia article would meet this rather low bar. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 21:47, 23 February 2023 (UTC)

A speedy deletion request

Thanks for your help on the CSD G6 request on Template:Editnotices/You should notify any user that you discuss.

We're getting there. Module:WikiProject quality assessment passes all my tests. Please check Module talk:WikiProject quality assessment/testcases and also Template talk:WikiProject banner shell/testcases, Template talk:WikiProject banner shell/test1 and Template talk:WikiProject banner shell/test2. Let me know if you see anything untoward.

Categories

Hello, MSGJ,

For some reason, some categories you recently created are showing up on Wikipedia:Database reports/Empty categories even they have an Empty Category tag on them. Sometimes this has led me to add a second Empty Cat tag but it looks kind of ridiculous to have a duplicate tag. Any ideas? Liz ^{Read! Talk!} 01:19, 19 March 2023 (UTC)
