April 2024[edit]

Information icon Hello, Francisco matus89. We welcome your contributions, but it appears as if your primary purpose on Wikipedia is to add citations to sources you may be affiliated with.

Editing in this way is a violation of the policy against using Wikipedia for promotion and is a form of conflict of interest. The editing community considers excessive self-citing to be a form of spamming on Wikipedia (WP:REFSPAM); the edits will be reviewed and the citations removed where it was not appropriate to add them.

If you wish to continue contributing, please first consider citing other reliable secondary sources such as review articles that were written by other researchers in your field and that are already highly cited in the literature. If you wish to cite sources for which you may have a conflict of interest, please start a new section on the article's talk page and add {{Edit COI}} to ask a volunteer to review whether or not the citation should be added. MrOllie (talk) 12:42, 15 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Dear MrOllie, Sorry, but I am not an author of the publication suggested. I am a scientific journalist. I am not self-citing because I am not a scientist or an author of scientific manuscript. Please, add again my modification in all the text that I have managed. I am working hardly to improve the Wikipedia pages.
Thank you very much,
Francisco Francisco matus89 (talk) 16:45, 15 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Then please try in a different way. These are all primary sources and all include one specific author amongst others. This has all the hallmarks of citation spammimng and I suggest that you find better sources to add, and other articles to improve.  Velella  Velella Talk   17:15, 15 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not really concerned if you're the author or not. Repetitively adding it to multiple articles is not something that should be done or that improves these pages. MrOllie (talk) 17:16, 15 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
ok it is clearly. I try now. Francisco matus89 (talk) 17:54, 15 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
So you said, and then you immediately returned to the same reference spam. MrOllie (talk) 17:59, 15 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I have deleted several part of the text with the references as you required. Francisco matus89 (talk) 18:06, 15 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No, you have continued to spam the same problem cites. You must stop. MrOllie (talk) 18:07, 15 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
But you understand that there are severela wrong sentences?
For example: Three species live in the Mediterranean Sea: H. guttulatus (the long-snouted seahorse), H. hippocampus (the short-snouted seahorse), and H. fuscus (the sea pony).
We have only two mediterranean seahorses not three. Francisco matus89 (talk) 18:09, 15 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Please don't change the subject, this is about your spamming citations from the same authors across Wikipedia. MrOllie (talk) 18:10, 15 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe because this author said that there are only two species of seahorses in the mediterranean basin? Francisco matus89 (talk) 18:12, 15 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The pattern of your editing is clear. One sentence on one article is plainly not the issue. MrOllie (talk) 18:13, 15 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Please, see now. Is it correct in this way? Francisco matus89 (talk) 18:15, 15 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Obviously not. The issue is the citation spam, which you keep reinserting. MrOllie (talk) 18:17, 15 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That's okay, I will pass. I cannot lose my time correcting wrong sentence supporting it with consolidate references. Bye Bye. Francisco matus89 (talk) 18:20, 15 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
