Yesterday's FAR closures[edit]
Hello. I closed 8 FARs yesterday but the bot has only recognized 2 of the closures. Did I forget a step? Thanks, DrKay (talk) 07:48, 16 October 2022 (UTC)
- Someone created a bad entry for Borat. I have removed it. It shouldn't have stopped the job from processing the others, but there is a problem with Kubernetes. Not sure how to fix it. The others have been processed now. Hawkeye7 (discuss) 08:45, 16 October 2022 (UTC)
TFA changes[edit]
Hawkeye7 when a TFA is changed long after scheduling, is FACbot able to re-update WP:URFA/2020, or do I have to watch for those manually ? Bengali language movement was switched out, but WP:URFA/2020A still shows it at 2023-02-21 (that needs to be reverted to its maindate1). I don't mind changing them manually if necessary, as that sort of thing is rare and probably hard to code, but I'm not sure if I'll be notified on all of them. Bst, SandyGeorgia (Talk) 23:09, 20 January 2023 (UTC)
- Yes, if an article gets swapped out it must be processed manually. It used to be unheard of, but it has happened a bit lately. It is quite a challenge for the bot to recognise that this has happened; it starts with the schedule, and if an article slips off the schedule, then the bot doesn't know about it any more. But it is also difficult to process manually. So I will consider how it can be done. Hawkeye7 (discuss) 02:04, 21 January 2023 (UTC)
- That is what I suspected. I don't mind watching for post-scheduling TFA changes to adjust them manually, but I won't always know. @WP:TFA coordinators and Gog the Mild to remind them to remind me if they remember :) SandyGeorgia (Talk) 02:35, 21 January 2023 (UTC)
- I'll try to remember to tell you when I have a role in it and it's before what, 2015?--Wehwalt (talk) 15:17, 21 January 2023 (UTC)
- Wehwalt, yes, the URFA/2020 cutoff is 2015. I have always hoped that by keeping the TFA dates in the sortable charts, it will be easier for all of you to locate "Satisfactory" or "Kept" old FAs for TFA purposes. On a separate followup on Bengali language movement, pls see here. I had a rather dreadful November through December, and wish I had checked that article's history more closely, but don't want the wrong impression left about Antoine's review. Jimfbleak I recall there being another swap last month, that ended up at ERRORS, but I don't remember the article; if you can remember, I'd like to check that the URFA pages get updated. Regards, SandyGeorgia (Talk) 11:02, 22 January 2023 (UTC)
- Don't think this is the one you are thinking of, but Basiliscus was swapped out for 14 January 2023. Wikipedia:Unreviewed featured articles/2020/2004–2009 was not updated. Hawkeye7 (discuss) 18:01, 22 January 2023 (UTC)
- Yes, I think that was it; thank you! Will adjust URFA/2020 ... SandyGeorgia (Talk) 18:31, 22 January 2023 (UTC)

Speedy keep result breaking template[edit]
In this edit, FACBot added an AfD to the template and listed the result as "Speedy keep (joke AFD for April Fools Day)", which the template cannot parse. Is it programmed to do this? Looking at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Wikipedia, "joke AFD for April Fools Day" does not appear. CMD (talk) 01:10, 5 February 2023 (UTC)
- It took the existing result from {{Old XfD multi}}, which has no such restrictions on the result parameter. Hawkeye7 (discuss) 02:09, 5 February 2023 (UTC)
Stripping FA status on delisted FAs[edit]
Hawkeye7, since Jan 21, FACbot has been forgetting to strip FA status on WP assessments, eg here. I fixed them all manually [1] ... December seems to be OK. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 04:11, 5 February 2023 (UTC)
