Good job, creating The Ideal Scout. It was deserving of its own article, and doing so nicely cleaned up the R. Tait McKenzie article. BoringHistoryGuy (talk) 00:25, 18 February 2012 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Beach Bunny Swimwear[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Beach Bunny Swimwear requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Talpatra (talk) 14:59, 21 March 2014 (UTC)

WHAT THE FUCK!!![edit]
How dare you convert an article (Lotus throne) to the appalling sfn style, in total breach of WP:CITEVAR, without leaving any hint of of what you are doing in edit summaries. This is seriously bad behaviour, & you should be blocked. Johnbod (talk) 16:54, 12 January 2020 (UTC)
- Johnbod, I suggest you read up on WP:NPA. Your messages here and elsewhere are troubling; from what I can tel Evrik did what they felt was best for the article, which is perfectly acceptable. That you don't like it is not reason to insult them and threaten them with a block (which no admin would even consider anyway). Primefac (talk) 10:54, 13 January 2020 (UTC)
- I'm also puzzled as to what's so "appalling" about {{sfn}}. It gives linkage from the cites to the refs, for one thing. If you object to the use of years, then that's {{sfnp}} anyway, not {{sfn}}. Andy Dingley (talk) 20:35, 13 January 2020 (UTC)
- Please refrain from vulgarity in the future, this is a bit rude and also not an effective way to express oneself. It is not nice to open a web page and see this kind of verbiage. Thanks for your contributions to Wikipedia. Keep up the good work!! 172.250.237.36 (talk) 09:16, 9 July 2020 (UTC)

Hello
You recently merged these pages, without any discussion (or even much of an explanation). I have un-merged them, for the reasons given there; If you believe they should be merged you will need to open a merge proposal, and present a reason why. Regards, Swanny18 (talk) 15:52, 11 September 2022 (UTC)

The article Maui County Council (disambiguation) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Disambiguation page not required (WP:ONEOTHER). Primary topic redirect points to an article section with a hatnote to the only other use.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 20:25, 19 September 2022 (UTC)

Hello Evrik. This is a courtesy notice that the copy edit you requested for Girl Guides at the Guild of Copy Editors requests page is now complete. All feedback welcome! AviationFreak💬 17:43, 18 October 2022 (UTC) |
Howdy - I've completed the copyedit for Girl Guides and left some things I noticed on the article talk page. Still a little ways to go for GA, but it's certainly doable. AviationFreak💬 17:43, 18 October 2022 (UTC)
- @AviationFreak: Thanks for the update. I am on a wikibreak right now, though I expect to be back before too long. Thanks for the help! --evrik (talk) 00:43, 19 October 2022 (UTC)
How are you doing?[edit]
Etriusus has given you a cookie! Cookies promote WikiLove and hopefully this one has made your day better. You can spread the WikiLove by giving someone else a cookie, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past or a good friend.
To spread the goodness of cookies, you can add {{subst:Cookie}} to someone's talk page with a friendly message, or eat this cookie on the giver's talk page with {{subst:munch}}!
Hey @Evrik, just seeing how you're doing. Hope to see you around soon!!! Cheers, Etrius ( Us) 04:57, 24 November 2022 (UTC)
- @Etriusus: all is well, just really busy! Thanks for asking. --evrik (talk) 17:54, 21 December 2022 (UTC)

- There is already a featured Portal:Scouting, but it looks like it hasn't been maintained in years. 2600:8805:5C05:B00:4974:C87F:3CF4:B6C2 (talk) 00:18, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
- Hi there! Although this newsletter has
<noinclude>...</noinclude>
, I just noticed that it is still adding user talk pages like yours and mine in Category:WikiProject Scouting newsletters. Is there a fix that you could make? Thanks! GoingBatty (talk) 01:39, 29 January 2023 (UTC)
- @GoingBatty:, I have no idea. @Nnadigoodluck:, any ideas? --evrik (talk) 02:09, 29 January 2023 (UTC)
- I added some missing quotation marks, but that didn't fix the issue. :-( GoingBatty (talk) 02:19, 29 January 2023 (UTC)
mdy dates[edit]
Hello! I just wanted to leave you a note that per the documentation, the full {{use mdy dates}} should be used instead of redirects like {{mdy}}. On a different matter entirely, I took the opportunity with this edit to fix a couple of WP:LINT errors on this page. Nothing should have changed visually. This is just because our dear friends at the WMF have decided not to continue supporting <font> tags at some point (who knows when), we get to perform the fun task of switching <font> tags into <span> tags. Lmk if you have any questions, and happy editing, HouseBlastertalk 01:40, 23 January 2023 (UTC)
- @HouseBlaster: Thanks for the update and FWIW if I drop {{mdy}} someplace, I just assume the bots will come behind me and fix it. Can you read the section above and let me k now if there is an answer to the question? Thanks. --evrik (talk) 02:09, 29 January 2023 (UTC)
- Hi! There is no bot (that I know of) going around and fixing {{mdy}}. There should be, but that would make life easy for editors. We can't have that, now can we?As to the section above, I have gone ahead and manually fixed this page. I would guess that Special:MassMessage does not respect <noinclude>, because it is not a form of transclusion. I think you would have to create the message without any categories, send the message, and then add them after the message is sent. Not entirely sure, though.
