Placing citations[edit]

Facts need to come in front of the citations that backed them. The following example shows the difference in meaning that a change in the position of the citation makes:

John Smith ate Weetabix for breakfast.^[1]

This means that citation [1] supports the statement that John Smith ate Weetabix for breakfast.

John Smith ate Weetabix^[1] for breakfast.

This means that citation [1] supports the statement that John Smith ate Weetabix, but does not support the statement that he ate Weetabix for breakfast.
