- Did you want me just to include a link to the pre-existing talk page or create a new one? It seems that the former option would be best, but then it could be arguable whether it is really needed (though I could see how it would help). Either way I wouldn't mind doing it--just let me know. Hey Ikiroid, my past experience with you has been that you are a good enough writer to bring an article up to FA. I know that video games aren't your style, but I have an article in an FAC, 1080° Snowboarding, that needs a copyeditor real bad. - Hi Clyde—sorry it has taken so long, but I've finally gotten around to copyediting the article you have up at FAC. It is well-referenced and complete in its coverage, the only real problems are purely stylistic insofar as I can see. It's hard to describe the problem, because it really boils down to word flow and syntax. You need to link sentences together, lest they end up sounding like a bulleted list. Be wary of repeating the same sentence pattern over and over or beginning two sentences the same way. Also, keep in mind the order of topics—you mentioned development, release, and then more about development after the section on its release. If you work out these kinks, you should be fine. Do tell me if you need work or advice on a specific part (I'll be happy to give it) but I think this FAC will pass, or at least reach a close "no consensus." - Well actually there's two problems I have. One is removing uneeded and redundant words from sentences (I tried and could use another eyes) and switching the article from passive voice to active voice. - I'm guessing you are refering to "How does one define which articles are top, high, mid, and low importance? There are a lot that aren't assessed, and I'd like to run a backlog drive, but I'm not clear on which is which....". The discussion was between me and Big O here. The inclusion is based on important articles and a few well written ones, so base the importance of the inclusion on the quality and the notablity of the article. You'll find a lot of random and weird games, most of which are low. It might be good to have an entire wikiproject discussion on it.--Clyde (talk) 01:38, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

From the convo with AO, I gathered that all super-popular/old-and-very-important games are top, whereas all random unpopular games are low priority, whilst the rest falls in between? G1ggy! References for 1080
I don't know if you play video games, but I said in the article if you lose, you restart. How excatly do I reference that? I have heard of referencing the game itself, but I've only done that once before quite a while ago, and I don't remember how. Otherwise I don't know many people who would challenge "the player must retire and restart the race." Do you think I should reference the game anyway?--Clyde (talk) 04:48, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
- Try using Wikipedia:Citation templates and use the

- I agree with you (I completely forgot about the manual), and would prefer to have it, read through it, add more to gameplay, and properly cite things using the manual. - Hey, the video game article would certainly be a great final GCOTW if we decide to shut down the project. However, I'm not "the boss", and the project can continue without me even if I think it should end. The community should decide. A Link to the Past has nominated an interesting article and if that becomes a successful collaboration then perhaps the project has a further lifeline. However, if the community does decide to end the project then I promise you that I'll unilaterally impose the video game article as the final collaboration :) ... You might want to put forward a proposal on the CVG talk page for the project to be transformed so that we focus on improving our essential articles, regardless of whether they are stubs. - No joke. This is my first barnstar (BTW this is the second weirdest award I've given. I've also awarded someone a high five.) In regards to RFA, I must respectfully decline. I do not have enough experience with XFDs or vandalism yet, so I wouldn't have much use for the tools they would give me. Plus, I've done some other...weird stuff when I was a new user that would probably smack me down in an RFA. Personally, I don't think I'm ready. - I wish this article could be better. I'm trying to assume good faith, but I'm not so confident in some people working on the page. I'm not saying that they're trying to hurt the article, but I'm more inclined to believe that some of the editors are some what inexperienced or only work on this particular article. --myselfalso 17:39, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

Snowboarder
In the FAC for 1080° Snowboarding you gave me some help with the lead, and since then the article has had work done to it. Your finishing quote was "Not professionally written, neither here nor throughout." Since you wrote that, I have since acted and done some of your excersises improving and focusing the prose. At the urging of BQZip01, I converted the passive voice sentences in the article to active voice. I'm still looking for the manual of the game, but I was wondering if you have any more suggestions regarding the prose. I'm not asking for a copyedit or specific changes, and I know you're a busy man, but if you have time, could you give me some general tips, even on it's FAC page if you like (like section X and Y have structure problems etc). - If I may offer my
, it may help you dramatically with simple spelling errors if you get Mozilla Firefox to use as your browser. I used IE for years up until a few weeks ago. If has spell checking embedded within the browser, so as you type, it will catch errors and underline them in red. Using your last post as an example, it would have underlined "grammer." To fix any word, all you have to do is right-click and select the word you meant. Just a little help for a fellow wikipedian. — BQZip01 — talk 18:23, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

- Perhaps you don't have the latest version? I have Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.4) Gecko/20070515 Firefox/2.0.0.4 according to the Help->About window. As for turning it on, it only works in windows in "TEXT" modes where you are typing, not normal HTML browser output...so I guess it wouldn't have caught it. Heroes in Rise of Nations: Rise of Legends
A "{{prod}}" template has been added to the article Heroes in Rise of Nations: Rise of Legends, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.
