Quick notice[edit]
Hi Chidgk1, I will be going for a trip tomorrow, so the review will stall for a day. I'm sorry for that, but I can say that the article looks good. After a few more copyedits, I will pass it. Great work! Aintabli (talk) 15:27, 6 April 2023 (UTC)
- İyi yolculuklar Chidgk1 (talk) 16:53, 6 April 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you. I am sorry that I had to fail the review, because I believe there should be some major changes in the article. I don't want you to be discouraged in any way. I thought the progress of the review would be further hampered by the necessary major changes. I encourage you to rewrite the lead with parts from the former version so that it gives a clear picture to anyone clueless about Turkey. I would also encourage you to revise the wording, paraphrase, etc. Feel free to raise questions about how the article can be improved. I am eager to review the article again if you renominate it. Your GA nomination of Renewable energy in Turkey[edit]
The article Renewable energy in Turkey you nominated as a good article has failed ; see Talk:Renewable energy in Turkey for reasons why the nomination failed. If or when these points have been taken care of, you may apply for a new nomination of the article. Info box with no parameters[edit]
Hi, you’ll note that I reverted your addition of an infobox to Britney Schmidt— info boxes are not helpful with no parameters filled. Feel free to re-add with some parameters filled in, or I will do so once I’m editing on a desktop. Thanks, Eddie891 Talk Work 10:34, 14 April 2023 (UTC)
- Of course you know how to add an infobox but I doubt new editors do. Adding an infobox with no params gives many more people a chance to fill it in Chidgk1 (talk) 10:42, 14 April 2023 (UTC)
- That's an interesting point of view, one that I hadn't considered. Still, I think it may be worth taking the time to fill in some of the basic parameters, if you have such time. Regardless, I've restored the ibox and populated parameters, so no issues there. Eddie891 Talk Work 11:40, 14 April 2023 (UTC)

Feedback appreciated[edit]
Thank you for giving feedback on the edits of the page Climate change in Spain. Our students have also edited the following pages:
- Climate change in Indonesia
- Climate change in Japan
- Climate change in the Netherlands
- Climate change in South Korea
- Climate change in Poland
- Climate change in Greece
- Climate change in Puerto Rico
If you have time to give feedback on those pages as well, that would be most appreciated. Olle Terenius (UU) (talk) 17:49, 21 May 2023 (UTC)
- @Olle Terenius (UU) OK - and if you think my feedback is giving them too many clues let me know - also it would be great if any of them could feedback on (or edit of course) Climate change in Turkey which I wrote a while ago - should I ask them directly or is it better if you mention it? Chidgk1 (talk) 17:57, 21 May 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you for helping out! If any feedback is difficult to grasp, I will ask them to come back to you. I took a quick look at the Climate change in Turkey article and it looks very nice. I would not put my students to edit it as it already is so advanced. We have this time selected mainly those articles which are of low quality / small size and at the same time are important CO2 polluters or like The Netherlands and Greece heavily affected by climate change. RE: Unsourced[edit]
Apparently you didn't cared to read the link, otherwise you would know that it is based on actual policies. But if you want a direct link to a policy regarding your prods, start with WP:NEXIST. You were warned above and in other deprods by other users to use policy arguments for deletion propositions, yet you are keeping with these silly arguments. This sounds like disruption to me, so don't be surprised if me or someone else will start an ANI thread about your behavior. Cavarrone 11:36, 29 May 2023 (UTC)
- @Cavarrone I did read the link and I accept that some of the articles I nominated may indeed be notable. Given how quickly and easily an article can be dePRODed I don’t think I am being disruptive. I suspect some projects have just forgotten about certain obscure articles and are happy to fix them when they appear in their proposed deletion lists. Indeed I have cited a few such articles myself. Chidgk1 (talk) 11:44, 29 May 2023 (UTC)
- The point is, proposed deletions are supposed to be used for uncontroversial deletions. We have WP:BEFORE which says "if there are verifiability, notability or other sourcing concerns, take reasonable steps to search for reliable sources" (and also "check if there are interlanguage links, also in the sidebar, which may lead to more developed and better-sourced articles", which is also relevant to several of your prods). And beyond the rationale, proposing the deletion of 5 articles in 5 minutes shows that you did not bother to check whether the subject is notable or not, you did not look for sources nor you did attempt to improve/source the article by yourself. If you PROD articles just as to prompt other editors to provide sources, in spite of the good intentions, this is WP:GAMING behaviour. Then, use PRODs just for what they are designed for, i.e. uncontroversial deletions with policy-based rationales. Cavarrone 15:41, 29 May 2023 (UTC)
Deprodding of Borgartún[edit]
I have removed the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
tag from Borgartún, which you proposed for deletion. After improvement your reasoning, as given on the page, is no longer valid. Also do WP:BEFORE. If you still think this article should be deleted, please do not add {{proposed deletion}}
back to the page. Instead, feel free to list it at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. Thanks! Snævar (talk) 08:57, 31 May 2023 (UTC)
