May 2010[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Singapore, please cite a reliable source for the content of your edit. This is particularly important when adding or changing any facts or figures and helps maintain our policy of verifiability. Take a look at Wikipedia:Citing sources for information about how to cite sources and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Qwerta369 (talk) 09:30, 12 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Overseas Chinese. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Please stop[edit]

I have seen what you are doing to Culture of Singapore and Singapore. Most worrying to me, you have deleted entire sections that were relevant. However, you have also added your own unsourced sections, often riddled with misspellings and poor grammar. Do not think that your edits will go under the radar. --ಠ_ಠ node.ue ಠ_ಠ (talk) 23:02, 22 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Warning[edit]

Cenwin88lee, please do not remove well-sourced content from articles without giving a good reason. Please use edit summaries when making large changes. Many of your edits have caused me no small consternation, for example:

Wikipedia is not a free-for-all. Although we have an individualistic contributor culture, there are also rules. It is my sincere hope that you will respect them in the future by not adding unsourced content to articles and by not deleting well-sourced information. --ಠ_ಠ node.ue ಠ_ಠ (talk) 23:16, 22 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please[edit]

Do not use personal attacks against other editors, as you have done at Talk:Culture_of_Singapore. User:Jpatokal is a well-established editor. Also, please do not delete comments on an article discussion page, as you have done here. --ಠ_ಠ node.ue ಠ_ಠ (talk) 23:20, 22 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Second warning[edit]

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Talk:Culture of Singapore. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you.ಠ_ಠ node.ue ಠ_ಠ (talk) 17:08, 23 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Assume good faith[edit]

Cenwin88lee, please assume good faith and refrain from personal attacks. I do not much appreciate being called a vandal for an edit I tried discussing already, to no avail. --ಠ_ಠ node.ue ಠ_ಠ (talk) 17:12, 23 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You must desist from spamming my inbox and user page daily right now or I take up action against you through a moderator. You have the right to discuss whatever you want on any wiki discussion page. I have the right not to respond to any discussions anywhere unless I want to and on my own terms.

You must leave me alone and stop harassing me. This is my first and final warning to you.

Cenwin88lee (talk) 08:46, 24 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ironic that you post that in response to my pleas that you assume good faith... --ಠ_ಠ node.ue ಠ_ಠ (talk) 13:03, 27 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"Harassment"[edit]

Hi Cenwin88lee,

I am greatly disappointed to see that you interpret my behavior as harassment and "spamming", particularly since the last message I left you included a link to a policy page about assuming good faith. I'm beginning to feel uncomfortable with what feels to me like the increasingly less civil nature of your communications, including accusing myself and other well-established users of vandalism, trolling, spamming and harassment. Posting messages on your user talk page does not, I believe, qualify as "harassment", at least not at the quantity or frequency with which I have been doing so. In particular, posting boilerplate warnings over well-sourced content you have removed from popular articles with little or no explanation would not, I don't think, be considered harassment by an administrator. Also, please keep in mind that anybody can and possibly will view any messages that you remove from this and any other talkpage. --ಠ_ಠ node.ue ಠ_ಠ (talk) 16:13, 24 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

For your information[edit]

Click on anyone of them and read it~! --Dave ♠♣♥♦1185♪♫™ 10:21, 10 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Cenwin88lee, please do not disrupt Wikipedia to make a point. I find it hard to believe that after two months of edited only Singapore-related articles, you've suddenly developed an interest in Finnish cuisine, Ryukyuan languages, American villages and minority languages in Portugal, and coincidentally happen to disagree with edits to those articles which were made by myself and Jpatokal. If you wish to continue editing Wikipedia, I think it'd be in your best interests to stop this behavior and play by the rules - discuss, no insults or personal attacks, and especially not this kind of thing. --ಠ_ಠ node.ue ಠ_ಠ (talk) 20:36, 15 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

As proof that this was not a good-faith move on your part, I present this link [4], where you re-added a grammatical error and nothing else. Also, there's [5] this link, where you reverted fixes to Wiki code, essentially breaking the page for no apparent reason. --ಠ_ಠ node.ue ಠ_ಠ (talk) 21:36, 15 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Abuse of edit summaries[edit]

Hi Cenwin88lee,

At [6] you used the edit summary "do not remove sourced material" while reverting a change of a single character, for which sources confirm that both are technically correct pronunciations. Besides, as is customary with uncontroversial pronunciations, no source was cited. In the future, please use edit summaries that are reflective of the nature of the edit you made. --ಠ_ಠ node.ue ಠ_ಠ (talk) 21:44, 15 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Cenwin88lee,

I have opened a Request for Comment to discuss your recent conduct, more specifically your continued personal attacks, removal of referenced material, and now also disruption of Wikipedia to make a point. I look forward to your input: Wikipedia:Requests_for_comment/Cenwin88lee --ಠ_ಠ node.ue ಠ_ಠ (talk) 21:12, 15 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
